Academics are over!

It has been a long, long time since I have last written to update this journal and there is a very good reason for that.  First, the last few weeks of academics, and after the lower class has arrived, there is little or no time to do anything other than study or deal with issues.  Second, when there is time other than studying, it is always spent in one of 2 ways.  Either you are calling/writing loved ones, or you are relaxing because your motivation to do anymore studying has absolutely declined.  I battled to get up and write this journal.  Don’t worry I plan on filling you in on the last few weeks in one of my future journal entries.  I have Commanders Call in a few minutes and then we have some pizza coming to the OTSAC (OT game-room area type place with a huge TV, DVD, ping pong table, pool table, foosball, etc) – Don’t get too excited, you never have time to use it really.

            Well, the academic portion of OTS is finally through, so no more tests, no more briefings, no more papers, no more EPRs, no more scenarios, no more PFTs.  Damn it is nice.  Basically, imagine holding your breath for 9 weeks and then finally being able to breathe again. Now, I know without a doubt that I will graduate from OTS.  We have Vigilant Warrior (VW) next week but that should be just going through the routine.  Right now the feeling among everyone is just one of that we don’t really know how to act.  We are excited to be done, but we still have to be here so its kinda weird.  To be continued…………
