Been a Doors fan for 30+ years. Long before alot of you young cats. I remember when none of the albums were available in stores, so I had to special order many of them. There were no videos or websites, so there wasn't much Doors material out there. Now there's videos, websites and other items. Everybody knows and loves The Doors. It's awesome.

Doors music will live on in our hearts forever.Their musical genius was way ahead of it's time,and isn't that just one of the reasons we all love you so much.Jim Morrison WAS the Doors and the Doors WAS Jim Morrison.But hey !! being a God can't be easy so you keep taking it easy Jim.Well I guess Jim 'had wisdom' and 'knew what to do' cause 'he has you and he has me'.The Doors have been 'lighting our fires' for the last 30 years or so,I grew up with them,never forgot them,never ever will and guess what? bot my sons love them too.I've seen 'The Doors' movie at least 20 times probably my most watched movie of all time besides 'Summer of 46'(are there any Summer of 46 fans out there) and 'Once Around'.I have a big poster of Jim (wearing the beads) it has a pin frame,the glass has long gone (broken in one of my many moves over the years)and now he hangs proudly(?)in my laundry.He's been stored in sheds,lived all over the place,hung on many different walls and was even stolen once and just like the REAL JIM he t o keeps on surviving.

Thanks for so much for your website and tribute to Jim. The Doors sound is so unique that it could never be duplicated. In my opinion, Ray Manzarek is one of rock's great keyboard players. John and Robby are equally as talented in their craft and of co rse, Jim will remain in our hearts forever. It is ashame that he left us so soon. I can envision him today doing a one man show on Broadway with his poetry and music and still looking absolutely handsome. Obviously, Jim was hiding lots of pain (as many people do) with drugs and alcohol. His spirit and music will live on. God's love to all Doors fans and here's wishing you a great new year and millenium.
