Queensryche

Queensryche is an art form of its own. They originally recorded their first EP in 1983 and are still performing to this day (minus Chris DeGarmo). They are called a "progressive metal" band, and can combine the sounds of Pink Floyd with the sounds of metal bands. We love their beautiful ballads because they have a certain metal punch to it that other bands can't touch. Furthermore, their lyrics describe the events and hardships of real life, and question the ways of our society. You may recognize song titles like "Jet City Woman", "Silent Lucidity", "Operation: Mindcrime", or "Empire". Their CD "Operation: Mindcrime" is an hour long story of a hitman who is manipulated by Dr. X, and is ordered to kill his lover. The story is amazing, and the music is undescribable.
