Prologue

"I just don't see why we have to go to America, mother."

"I said enough, Alexandria. I will talk no more on the subject."

Alexandria turned her head and stared out the window of the car. She wish they were back at their home in London. She never really cared for America and going there to live permanently was not pleasing to her. Her mother hadn't been the same since her father died 3 years earlier. Alexandria sensed that her mother's heart had grown cold somewhat. She glanced behind them at the car following.

"Darling, you'll love America and our home in New York."

"I don't know Joseph, I'm going to miss London."

"I know, but think of all the new and exciting things waiting for us."

Anastasia forced a fake smile and glanced out the window. She knew she was doing the right thing marrying Joseph...he would be a great provider. But she knew she could never truly love him. Her mother agreed when Joseph asked for Ana's hand in marriage. She thought her sister Lexa was lucky to still be free. She looked ahead of them at the car her sister and mother where in. She saw Lexa looking out the window at her. They shared the same worried smile. Ana looked out her window and her mouth dropped.

"I told you she would be magnificent," Joseph said.

"Titanic..." she whispered.
