Hey, I'm an admirer of your column at the on-line guitar-college. But I have a question about copyright. You suggest to mail an envelope with the song in it etc. But here in Belgium, it's possible to send an open envelope. So, you mail an empty and open envelo e to yourself in the year 2000. But in the year 2005, some band makes a real nice song. You can figure out the chords and the lyrics and you type them out. Below, you sign put the copyrightsign with the date of 2-08-2000. Then you have proof you wrote the song five years ago, but you didn't. I would never do such thing, but some guys aren't as honest as you and I. So that little trick with the envelope isn't really waterproof, or is it?. Please reply, 'cause I've got dozens of songs I'd like to protect. Thomas p.s: I'm 14 years, I'm Belgian and I speak Dutch, sorry if I write a word wrong.
