The tape used had been eaten a bit by a VCR so
there are some minor tracking problems in the
beginning. There also was some editing done,
though it looks either sloppy or unfinished.
The editing is mostly freeze frames followed by
slow motion for a short bit, it happens a few
times through the video. There is also one time
where the video goes blue for a few seconds,
the audio is not affected by the editing at all
except for one spot toward the end of the show
where the video and audio both pause for about
a second. The video quality itself is decent,
but several things really take away from it. It
is shot from very far back so there it never
really gets a good view of the stage, and the
taper has a hell of a wandering eye and spends
as much time on the back of people's heads as
he does on the stage. During the songs there is
a HUGE THICK cloud of dust kicked up by the pit
and it completely blocks out the stage at times
and is almost always obscuring it in some way.
Audio quality varies, it's particularly bad at
the beginning but gets better and worse again
as the show goes, with the best sounding songs
around tracks 3-8 and at the end. This is from
the same tape as the Tool show from the same
date, and probably the same taper of one of
the Tool videos (the Tool show is a 2-cam mix)
Thanks to Mark Lehneman for the source tape.
