No drummer should justifiably be able to say, "I don't know what to practice". If you ever caught yourself saying it, here's a few things you should be practicing.

  1. Rudiments

  2. Listening (Not just hearing the music)

  3. Styles (Rock, Jazz, Funk, etc.)

  4. Reading music

  5. Timing (Practice with a metronome)

  6. Odd Time

  7. Accents

  8. Time changes

  9. Dynamics

  10. Soloing

  11. Polyrhythms

  12. Coordination

  13. Left hand exercises (Or right hand exercises if your left handed)

  14. Stick Control

  15. Double Bass

The list can go on and on. If you feel anything should be added to this list, e-mail us and let us know.
