Neverending Love!

     SEVENTH PART

Dinner continued rather quietly. After dinner, the couple went
back to the cabin. Per brought in a few logs and threw them on the fire
place, then lit them. While he was trying to get a fire started, Marie
went downstairs to change. When he was finally satisfied with the flames
eminating from the fire place, Per went to the kitchen and got out a
bottle of red wine and two glasses. He put the bottle and glasses on the
center table, turned off all the lights and sat on the sofa, waiting for
her. The fire roared and lit up the room.

He couldn’t help put think about dinner and the interesting
conversation that came up. She was hiding something and he knew it was
about Josefin. He suspected that Micke was not the biological father. If
so, who was? "Maybe it’s me?" Echoed in his head. Quickly he shook his
head and dismissed the thought. At first, when he found out that Marie
was pregnant, he wondered about the child and the possiblity that
Josefin was his daughter. Now he knew better. He knew Marie wouldn’t
hide that from him. No, if that was his daughter, Marie would have told
him a long time ago. He was certain of this but remained puzzled at who
Josefin’s father would be. He wanted to know so much, but decided not to
interfere. He sighed deeply, then got up and walked out to the balcony.
As he looked out into the chill of the night, he thought about the
future. It wasn’t going to be easy to keep the affair going and it would
be so much harder just to let her go. He sighed again then walked back
inside.

        "Per?" He heard Marie call.
"Yea?" He replied back, trying to choke back the pain in his
voice.
"I’ll be right up, sorry for taking so long." She said back.

He sighed yet again and wondered what was taking her so long.
Quickly, he opened the bottle of wine and poured the red liquid into
both glasses. Then, from the corner of his eye, he saw her. He looked
towards her direction and was left breathless. She wore a long, wine
red, satin nightgown that seemed to hug every curve in her body. He
couldn’t help but let out a deep sigh. She was breathtaking and looked
like an angel floating as she slowly approached him. When she stood
before him, she seemed to shy away, apparently well aware of the
feelings that were flowing through him. He couldn’t take his eyes off of
her and sort of hated the thought of sliding that nightgown off of her.
"Do you like it?" She told him. Per flashed a big smile then replied,
"Oh yes, parts of me are already applauding." They both laughed at his
remark. Slowly she pulled him up until he stood before her. "Dance with
me," She pleaded and took him by the hand until they were in the center
of the room. There she left him while put a tape in the stereo and
pressed play. A lovely instrumental peice named "Ghost Box" (By: Black
Box) filled the air.

Per watched as she came back to him. She walked to the beat of the
song. Her eyes looked deep into his, tempting him. She slowly slid into
his arms and their lips locked in a slow kiss. As they slow danced, they
tasted eachother. Per softly nuzzled Marie’s neck and grined when he
heard her soft giggles. A sudden burst of engery had him picking her up
and twirling around the room. When dizziness finally hit, they both
tumbled onto the sofa, laughing. "Well you know who to kill a moment!"
She said while laughing.

"Sorry! I don’t know what got into me," he replied still laughing.
After they finished laughing, he slid to the edge of the sofa, took one
of the wine glasses and sipped some of its contents. Marie got up and
stood before him. With a grin she took the glass away from him and put
it on the table. Slowly she then lowered herself and sat on top of him.
Almost instantly their lips locked again. Slowly they kissed, a nice
passionate kiss. When they finally let go, Per smiled and said, "Did I
ever tell you how much I love you?" Marie smiled and responded, "Not
many times, but I know that you do because I love you too." With that
Per kissed her one more time. "You know, you look beautiful tonight.
Almost seems a shame to take this nightgown off of you." He told her
with a smile. Marie kissed him softly letting him know that she wanted
to take things slow tonight. Per returned the soft kiss. She took the
initiative and started placing soft kisses on his face. Per closed his
eyes and enjoyed the moment, smiling as she loved his body. Marie softly
kissed his neck and followed a trail of kisses to his right ear, taking
his hoop earing into her mouth and nibbling lightly. Per moaned softly
and soon her mouth was covering his again. Per slid onto his back and
let Marie lay on top of him. He smiled and looked into her eyes. "I love
you." He said softly. Marie smiled back and kissed him, "I love you,
too." After a few fevorish kisses, they became one again and created
another perfect night.

After their love making, Per carried Marie back to their bedroom.
There they lay and talked for hours. Per was surprised to hear that she
had started painting again. He had been urging her, since he bought
shares in Tylosand, to paint a portrait for him to hang there. She had
always refused him, tonight was no different. They discussed doing
something in their naitve language and possibily playing it on the US
tours. They knew the fans would die of shock!

A few hours after they had both fallen asleep, Per woke up to find
Marie curled up in his arms, crying.

"Marie? What’s wrong?" He asked, alarmed at finding her like this.
When she didn’t respond he asked again, making his voice sound like he
was determined to get an answer.

"Nothing... nevermind." She said, choking on her ears.
"Marie, please, I can’t stand seeing you like this...tell me
what’s wrong?"
"I should have told you," She began. "I should have told you when
it happened, but I was afraid you’d hate me."
"What?... Marie, what are you talking about?"
Marie sighed and tried to calm herself. "Something happened to me
during the Joyride tour... Something I never told you about."

Suddenlly Per had a bad thought cross his mind. A thought of
roadie or stage crew hurting her. Anger raged through his blood. He
wouls murder any person who would dare harm Marie. "Did someone hurt
you? I will kill the person who..."
"No..." She interupted him. "No one hurt me... Well not THAT at
least..."
        "Then what happened?"
"Josefin..." Marie said, nearly in a whisper.
        "What about Josefin?"
"Of course you’d hate me... You’d think I was trying to force you
into staying with me." Marie sobbed more.

Per moved so that he could face Marie. "What are you trying to
tell me?"
"Josefin is your daugheter, Per." Marie finally told him.

He looked at her, mouth open and eyes wide in shock. What he had
always thought over was true. It was all like a dream to him. Like if he
would talk it would all disappear around him. He swallowed hard and
forced himself to speak. "Josefine is my daughter?"
"Yes. Per, please don’t hate me for not telling you. The way you
acted after we made love that night and the fact that you were engaged
to Asa and I was dating Micke. It was just too much. I didn’t want to
burden you with Josefin. I didn’t want to ruin your life and have you
hate me for it." She cried softly with her head low, afriad to look at
him.

"Josefin is MY daughter?" The words came out a little easier now.
Suddenly a tear slid down Per’s cheek and within seconds he was holding
Marie and rocking her. She was shocked. She had just told him that she
had been decieving him all these years and he is hugging her for it. A
smile curved on his face and he cried more. Soon Marie felt his hot
tears over her flesh. This made her look up at him and realize he was
truely happy.

"You don’t hate me because I kept you from knowing the truth?"
Marie said, making sure he was sane.
"You should have told me." Per said.
"I know I should have, but what would it have resolved?"
        "A lot of things..."
"Like what, Per?... I would have ruined you relationship with
Asa."
"Marie, the only reason I didn’t persue you that night was because
I thought it was mutual between us. That it was just a fling. Had I
known that you and I were going to end up together again...things would
have been different." He told her sincerely.

He had truely surprised her. Marie always imagined Per screaming
at her about the secret she hid. She always thought he would leave and
never want to speak to her again. Per on the other hand, suspected many
times about Josefin. The look in her eyes sometimes made him wonder, as
well as the things she did when she was younger. It was all too
identical to his own quirks. "I am so sorry, Per. I wish I could take it
all back." She cried softly to him.

"What’s done is done. We can’t go back in time no matter how much
we try ,But I do love you and we can make the most out of it." He said
still cuddling her.

She couldn’t help but wonder what they would find when they went
back home. Home, the word frightened her. At the moment Home was with
Per. She prayed to God for another chance. For them to be able to start
in the begining. To go back in time with the knowledge of the future and
fix what went terribly wrong. With that in mind, Marie fell asleep in
Per’s arms.

As she slowly drifted off to dreamland, Per couldn’t help but hold
her tighter. He had missed out on so much and most of it was his fault.
That night during the Joyride tour he had thought about taking her back
and breaking the engagement off. Then he remembered how angry he became
when Marie and Micke were established as a couple. Micke was a great
guy, but Per couldn’t see anyone with Marie except him. During the tour
he had often argued with Anders and his flirting with Marie. Per hated
it so much, often it showed while they were on stage or in the
interviews they did. When he was with Marie, he was never a jealous man.
When they were apart, he couldn’t help but detest every man who layed
eyes on her. How dare they! She wasn’t just a peice of meat! Per shook
his head freircely and tried to get certain details out of his mind. He
held Marie a little lighter then slid lower into the bed. Soon, he too
fell asleep in her arms.

A day later, they were flying back to Sweden. Per took Marie’s
hand and squeezed slightly as the plane made it’s final decent into
Stockholm airport. "It was good while it lasted." Per whispered softly
to Her. "It’s not over yet..." Marie responded with a grin. Per couldn't help
but smile.
