Collective Soul, the million-selling band from Georgia, will be the first rock act to play in the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science.
The Group has scheduled a show in the Pavilion's Grant Hall on July 7, a Wednesday night. Tickets go on sale at the Pavilion box office at noon May 22 for $25.
All seats are reserved. About 1700 tickets will be available for the show.

Because the Pavilion is not on the Ticketmaster System, fans will have to either wait in line at the box office or order them over the phone with a credit card. A phone-order number will be publicized later, said the promoter Ward Ertz.
"It's not a Ticketmast show," he said. "The Pavilion has it's own ticket format and ticket system, and that's OK. We'll just have to educate people about it."
Collective Soul released it's first CD to a national audience in 1994, "Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid." Several CDs have followed, including the latest "Dosage."
The big hit is the song "Shine," a former No. 1 Billboard track.
Collective Soul has been all over the TV lately. The band appearded on Rosie O'Donnell's talk show on April 2, and HBO recently taped a live concert for a special scheduled to air in September. The songs "Run" and "Heavy" will appear on the season finale of "Beverly Hills 902101" on May 19.
Collective Soul also has agreed to perform at Woodstock '99, a 30th anniversary show scheduled for July 23-25 in Rome, New York.
Ertz thinks the Sioux Falls show has a chance to make history.
The people of Sioux Falls had better get in line. It's a chance of a lifetime to be at the first rock show in the Pavilion," he said.
