COLLECTIVE SOUL- COLLECTIVE SOUL
This, Collective Soul's second album, is their best effort at putting forth the most melodic and heart-felt music ever! Such songs
as "The World I Know" and "December" use the violin as a beautiful contribution to the already illuminated songs. The album
seems to be a true representation of who Collective soul really is. The hard rock sound of "Gel" and "Simple" give the band a
reputation of truly having the ability to compose tunes of varying styles. This five-man band's first album was a huge hit around the globe with their debut single "Shine" which flew to the top of charts everywhere. Their success with the first album, "Hints, Allegations and Things Left Unsaid" caused many to ponder whether Collective was a one-hit wonder. However with this, Collective Soul's new album, they have proven those skeptics wrong. "December", the first true single off of the new album excluding "Gel" which was previously released from "The Jerky Boys" soundtrack, rose to Top Ten status. This was followed by "The World I Know" which rose into the Top Fourty.
