Collective Soul are making their triumphant return to the modern rock scene, and from the looks of things, it couldn't happen at a better time. What with the recent glut of electronica and ska influenced music, to say nothing of the current rock/rap hybrid trend, it seems that never before has popular music so needed a nice, strong dose of good old-fashioned guitar rock. Fortunately, Collective Soul's forthcoming album, "DOSAGE" has the prescribed amounts of chunky guitar sounds, churning rhythms, air-drum worthy beats, and even some strings and piano for that epic, arena anthem sound. Its the anytime-rocking- riffing-seething-so-you-can-jump-up-and-down-on- your-bed medicine! And of course, there are a few heaping spoonfuls of pop sugar -- Ed Roland's trademark super-tight song craft, lush melodies, and gigantic choruses -- to help the rock & roll medicine go down. "DOSAGE" hits the streets on February 9th, but if you need a quick fix, you can check out the new single "Run," which is featured on the new album as well as on the soundtrack to the upcoming film, "Varsity Blues," in its entirety right here!!
