OFFSHORE 99
Torquey, Victoria (near Bell's Beach), 2nd-4th April 1999
by Haileigh Phillips
Tents, tents and more
tents was all you saw as you travelled closer to the event site,
tents of all sizes shapes and colours. Once you got past all the
tents you saw the people who were already getting ready to spend
the next 3 days having the best time they could. There was no feeling
of aprehension from anyone and everyone just wanted to be merry
and party. There was people from all over the world as well as all
around Australia and every one of them was determined to party until
tehy coudl party no more.
The bands were amazing
and the crowds amazed. There were a few moments of excitement when
the Chicken, Seafood adn Burgers stand caught on fire and the lead
singer from Guttermouth decided to show us all his bum cheeks, but
generally the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.
A great time was had by
all and next year I'll be there again with even more of my mates
to join in the fun of Offshore.
