In June 1999, Custard did shonky covers of 10 songs. Triple j listeners were asked to collect the names of the 10 songs and then send them into the Shonky Songs Competition with the hope of getting Caroline Tran and Custard out to their house for the night.

Shonky Songs stopped being played Friday 18th June.
Competition closed Friday 25th June (at 5pm).
The winner was announced the following Monday night during Super Request (because Caroline was away on Friday when it was meant to be drawn)
