		(Taken out of a Cammies article in the San Francisco Examiner ) THE BAMMIES Getting the most Beatlemania-like screams of the evening were the four lads of Third Eye Blind, who went from obscurity to national prominence in less than a year. Backstage, singer Stephan Jenkins, and guitarist Kein Cadogan celebrated winning the Cammie for best songwriting. "We were flattered to be nominated for several awards, but to be nominated and win the songwriting award was really, really special," says Jenkins. "Performing and recording are great, but nothing goes beyond the thrill of creating those moments in song. Smiled Cadogan, when his edullient frontman finished : "I'm doomed to be Ebert." He was thrilled with the award. "It means a lot." Because Chris Isaak was noticeably missing this year, Jenkins and Cadogan won the yearly (if unspoken) fashion contest - Jenkins ultra groovy in a leopard-print fleece number and cadogan in a shin-length black leather coat. Hands-down among femaleswas No Doubt's Stefani...who was wearing a gorgeous long dress that lookes like layers of organza... .... But perhaps the biggest star sighting of the night went unnoticed by almost everyone.
