The Darker Side

Welcome to my evil lair,

keep watch for trouble, trap and snare,

it’s dark and it shall stay that way,

no matter how the dice may lay.

This will keep the crowds away,

at least I try to keep it that way,

Now what were you about to say

Here in the darker side.

The flowers lie, wilted and broken,

for not a spy of light is showing.

The devil weeps in my obode,

the brightest part is the comode.

The slightest crack of a creaky door,

or the ocasional wimper from the floor,

is all that can be heard inside,

the mighty walls of my obide.

Here in the darker side.

The trigger’s set,

the door is locked,

there’s screaming in the hall,

then fate is met, you hear a shot,

all hope begins to fall.

Like an anchor with a heavy chain,

The weather’s gloomy and starts to rain.

Now you BEGIN to feel my pain.

Soal rising, body strain,

on to the cold wet upturned earth,

My life is flashing back to my birth.

Now I’m back and I’m alright,

but I fear I won’t sleep at all tonight.

So it’s back with me,

back to my bed,

where the rooms are dark,

and beast unfed.

And so now, I lay back my head.

Here in the darker side.
