It started out as a protest. We were lashing out at the overwhelming flood of mindless, goody-goody anti-progressive hippy wannabe throw-backs that were somehow finding their "causes" in every logging camp, fishing fleet, or make-up laboratory.

It never ceased to amaze us how some ignorant dope-smoking college brat could take a stand for the welfare of a common rat that was being studied to find a cure for cancer or heart disease or some other affliction that threatens the existence of the human race. But that is the nature of our generation, I suppose.

But dont get me wrong! We in no way condone the eradication of our forests by extreme clear-cutting, or the slaughter of elephants for their ivory or even subterranean nuclear testing. We all grew up in the great outdoors. We know the difference between "Rape" and "Harvest". We all support the responsible utilization of our natural resources, meaning use only what we need and then replace what we use. We were simply fed up with the constant barrage of ignorance and hypocracy that was filling the news: Greenpeace blowing up boats, protesters spiking trees in the logging grounds.

We racked our brains trying to come up with a means of communicating with these people. A means that would be able to reach them, that they would understand.

So we started a Band. For how else to communicate with the generation raised by MTV than through music?
