-Tell me some news about Nyctophobic? Is there anything you prepare in the near future?

Yep, in eraly summer we will enter the studio again to record the material for the the new upcoming CD which will be entitled "INSECTS". The new CD will also be released on MORBID RECORDS. We will also feature another classic cover song which we really like and most metal people know.

-I really don’t understand why do people call you DeathGrind & for example Lividity too...for me you are Grind core & Lividity Brutal Death metal...what’s your opinion?

It's just a name and we don't care much about that. But we would agree with you that our music is closer to Grindcore than to Death Metal. We call our music Crusty Grindcore or something like that. It's because we have some influences of great bands like DISRUPT or EXTREME NOISE TERROR just too mention a few.

-Do you like the movie Hellraiser(2)??? I’m asking because of an intro before one of your songs (I think it’s Inner manipulation)

I personally love both Hellraiser movies. To me these are the most violent and aggressive movies ever. I also think that Clive Barker is the greatest writer for that genre. Yep, it is "Inner Manipulation". That was actually my idea and the others didn't mind so we used it.

-You know Goregallery for sure...what do you think about websites like this???

Yeah, I kinda like these sites. I like extreme art. I hate pictures that are voyeuristic. I prefer the extreme way of art. I mean art itself. Every extreme picture should say something if you know what I mean.

-...& what do you think about soft & hard pornography?

I absolutely ebjoy both. I mean the actors get paid well and as long as nobody forces them to do what the don't like it's okay by me. But this is just my point of view and does not reflect the bands oppinion.

-What do you think about sexism & homophobes?

I doesn't bother me and I try not be that way but I'm sure that everybody on this fucked up planet was sexistic or homophobic in the one or other way. Tolerance is what preach! I won't bother them as long as they won't bother me.

-Whom idea was to use vocal effects on the War criminal views album? I have the Entrails Massacre/Nyctophobic 7”EP & you didn’t use there any...

Actually we always used vocal-effects on our releases. It's just that Alex our singer didn't like them a lot. So we didn't want to make him feel sorry. He was the singer and he didn't like them so we we didn't use them. NYCTOPHOBIC always was and is a democratic band. Zimbo, the singer that joined us after Alex left the band likes them too and so we decided to use them again.

-Tell me your opinion on these bands: Exit 13, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Metallica, Soundgarden & Backstreet Boys?

EXIT 13: extreme but not my cup of tea, MORBID ANGEL: I love the old stuff but the new stuff sucks, sometimes they act like Rockstars which is cool but still sux, SLAYER: I grew up with that band and I still love even the last album was bullshit, SOUNDGARDEN: excellent musicians and they have some great songs, BACKSTREET BOSY: no comment - this is not a band.

-I think that you had many problems with the line-up during your carrer...am I right? Tell me something about the former Nycto members...

What can I say? It all started with Christophe. He is a very nice guy and we are still in contact with him. The only person we felt sorry when he left the band. Stephen our first singer (also played with me in another band before NYCTO) was a shitty idiot and I guess he still is. Would be a big story to tell all the shit he has done. For example he left the band with the lyrics and he didn't want to give us the lyrics back. Even the lyrics have been written by me and Markus (Bass). Then we had Ozan as the new singer. He was a nice person and a great singer too but he wasn't very reliable. He always missed the band practises. We played one gig with him and then he left the band. We're still friends but we don't see him too often. We also had many other guitarrists in the band bnut most of them just stayed a couple of days so they are not worth mentioning them. One guitarrist I can remember was Ruben who played in BLOOD before. He was a good guitarrist  but he changed his mind during the years and so left the band. I have no idea what he is doing now. We haven't seen him for years.

-Do you or other members of the band have some other bands/projects? If yes what kind of music do you/they play?

I'm sorry, but at the moment we don't have any side-projects. Well, Markus played in NUNWHORECOMMANDO 666 and they (plus some Ex-GUT members) played extreme music too. They used a drum-computer. I really liked the music but they have never recorded a Demo or anything else. Ah yeah, Zimbo is doing some drum & base stuff at home on his computer.

-Has anything disappointed you lately? (Anything...not only music...)

Yep, I really hate that we don't have that many groupies. I mean we have none. HAHAHAHA! Now seriously: I was really disappointed because I brought my car to get it fixed. They tried it 5 times but couldn't find the mistake. I now sold the car for less than I expected and that really pissed me off.

-Which country do you think has the best Grind-scene? (I mean zines, bands, distros, labels, etc...)

I would not say that a country has a great scene. I like some bands from Belgium, USA, Czech Republic or wherever. I think that in general the post-communistic states like Poland or the Czech Republic have better scenes than here in western Europe. It's more like a family and not like the western european competition.

-I’ve been to Germany several times & I think that german chicks are not as pretty & “stuff like that” as slovak chicks (...I mean chicks not chicken!!! ?) ...tell me if not!!!

I don't know where you have been but I think that our girls belong to the nicest ones, HAHAHA. But you're right the girls in you country or the Czech Republic look very nice indeed, HAHAHA!

-Why, do you think, all the old grindbands like Carcass or Napalm Death changed their style to Death metal?

To be honest: I don't know. They call it musical development. I can understand them. They now do music as a profession which is really nice and so they want to make even more money out of it to save some money for their retirement, HAHAHA! That could be a reason!

-Tell me something funny from the Nycto-history...something from rehersials, concerts, anywhere...ANYTHING...

One funny thing is that when we drive to gigs I always tell the other guys not to be late and I'm the only person who is late. Shame on me. A real funny story was when we drove from Uherske Hradiste to Bischofswerder. It was on the tour. Markus (bass) opened the cup-board (where the instruments were stored) and said: "Only 2 cases in the cup-board. It's supposed to be three! The one that is missing is....." Silence! "Markus'(guitar) case is missing!" that was really funny because you should have seen his face when he realized that his case is missing. Petr (manager of KRABATHOR) send us the case back to Germany and so it was a happy end!

-At the end tell us anything you want + a really good joke...shorter would be better....

Miro thanks a lot for the interview and I hope to see you soon in your country. We would love to play there. Everybody tells me that in Slovakia you have the wildest fans on earth. I'd like to see! I need a proof! ? ? ?
