Cartoon Network!!! ...Yeah! This
guys really like it! Me either!!! This cool optimistic album is opened
by an intro from some Bugs Bunny, or stuff like that, cartoon. Than we
have 12 really cool Crusty/Grindy songs...cool! Quite fast music, with
no blasts. But that's not bad, the music is cool. Vocals: growls &
some screams + pissed off roars... Lyrics: social & political problems...
Booklet: quite nice, with photos of members, from the pre-Abortion
age & from present. The lyrics are inside of the booklet. Some spelling
mistakes, but nevermind... Hey, who the fuck is the guy on the cover?!
OK...that's it...but wait, there is 9 song bonus on the CD...the EP Sense
of humour. The old stuff is more crusty, but still cool & funny/optimistic!
That's all folks!

-Freedom, hope & fury-
-??? (probably self-financed)-
I got this CD as a present from
my brother on Christmas....but this CD is not containing some carols like
Silent
night, etc... , but a brutal Hyperblast in the vein of old
Kataklysm!!!
Yes!!! This is something for me & I must say that this is even brutal
then the Kataklysm stuff....full of blasts (the drummer is very
noisy & his blasts are really powerful!) & brutal riffs! But as
you probably know Hyperblast is not only about brutality...there are many
nice melodies here + one intro Azure waters of inthera. There are
10 songs on the CD & everything is 1st-rate stuff. 7 songs are new,
2 are old from their prevoius demo + that intro I have already mentioned.
I'm really happy that this stuff is on a CD & not just on a demo, because
a band from eastern Europe can break through only with a CD...& I'm
really sure that these guys have all the attributes to do it!!! Although
I have compared the band with Kataklysm many times don't await any
copying or any other bullshit...this stuff is extremely original (altough
some stupid critics would say that it is nothing new - I hate this opinion)
!!!

-Relapse Records-
Altough this stuff is quite old,
I'd like to make an review on it... OK, what have we here....an insane
Grind core with a drum-machine. But this stuff is really extreme!!! ...and
I still haven't awaken, after I've been insulted by the sound of this recording.
Especially the sound of the drum-machine is really brutal...& is it
fast...I don't think that a normal human could do that. The singer is using
two kinds of vocals...some kind of "pissed off" nearly HC vocal & classical
Grindy screams. This CD is containing 26 songs in the classical (very insane
& little psycho) Grind core vein. The only exception is the song no.25.
It is some kind of industrial/psycho/noisy stuff. This CD is just great!!!
The only bad thing about it, is that it has only 18.08 minutes. But on
the Relapse website at www.relapse.com
I read that these guys are preparing new stuff! So watch out for it! It
will be probably some very interesting Grind core experience!!!

-Century Media-
This CD is not mine...I have borrowed it from my friend
(I don't have money to buy all the great stuff) & it was so good that
I just wanted to make a review on it. OK...I don't have the None So
Vile CD, so I'll compare the new stuff with the Blasphemy Made Flesh
CD. So, the new stuff is still so insane as on the debut CD...full of disharmonic
& brutal riffs & full of fast passages & blasts. Yeah it is
very cool! But the new stuff also contains some melodies & that I can't
say about the Blasphemy...CD (maybe in solos). The line-up has been
changed. They have, I think, a new guitarist & a new singer. The singer
is good, but he just isn't Lord Worm. Lord Worm was a personality (I read
that the guy used to eat maggots on their shows!!!). I hope that the new
singer won't lost his self-confidence, if he'll read this (hmmm...I don't
think so), because he's really good. ...& I must say that the new stuff
is really good too (but I think that afterall Blasphemy...
is better). OK that's it...& I think that I won't give this CD back
to my friend...hehehe....;-)

My favourites:
MONSTROSITY
(USA)
-Imperial Doom '91-
-Nuclear Blast America-
This band is a typical Tech/Brutal Death metal from Florida.
It's really cool! This album was released in the times, when this style
was really popular, but I think that Monstrosity was never so popular
as other Death metal bands from this area, altough it is probably the best
group from there. Monstrosity is a group of brilliant musicians
gathered around a great drummer Lee Harrison. Lee is the main composer
& he also writes the lyrics. On this album (...& also on Millenium
'96) also sings George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, who is today singin' in
Cannibal
Corpse. I have this album on a tape & also on a vinyl. There are
8 songs on the album, but on the tape there is one another. Monstrosity
had many problems & line-up changes during their career, but they haven't
broken-up...No,no...they are still alive! In 1996 they have finally released
their second album Millenium with a totally different line-up. The
only guys who have remained were Lee Harrison & Corpsegrinder, but
after that recording also Corpsegrinder has left the band...& now only
Lee is the only one from the Imperial Doom line-up. ...& Monstrosity
still lives on! ...& I read thar they are working on a new album, with
a new singer...
CANNIBAL
CORPSE (USA)
-Tomb of the mutilated '92-
-Metal Blade Records-
This is a classical Brutal Ami-Death metal band, with
gory & perverted lyrics (like Entrails ripped from a virgin's cunt)
+ very sick artworks. The line-up on this album was with Chris Barnes on
vocals, Alex Webster on bass, Paul Mazurkiewitz on drums, Jack Owen on
guitar & Rob Rusay on guitar. This is probably the most brutal album
of this band, 'cause on Butchered at birth they haven't reached
the top of brutality yet & on The Bleeding their music started
to be little technical & with Vile it started to be deviant
& vile... OK...how to describe this one: it is full of razor-sharp
riffs, fast passages & of course, as ussual in Ami-Death, full of blasts.
There are also some very cool passages, like the beginning of Hammer
smashed face (that one is very cool) , the main riff in Necropedophile
& the whole song + that sick intro on Addicted to vaginal skin.
This is one of the best & most brutal (altough today some bands produce
music even brutal) albums in the Ami-Death production... & I think
it's their best!!! Before this album the band has released two albums -
Eatenback
to life & Butchered at birth (the cover rules!!!) . After
the Tomb... album Rob Rusay has been kicked out of the band &
The
Bleeding was released. Then also the vocalist Chris Barnes has been
kicked & has joined an old-school Death metal band Six feet under.
His place was taken by George Corpsegrinder (ex-Monstrosity) &
Vile
was released. ...and finally the Gallery of suicide was released
in 1998... There is one thing that I like 'bout C.C. very much...they
have never denied their roots & are still playing the same kind of
music...& I prize that!
NAPALM
DEATH
-From enslavement to obliteration
'88-
-Earache-
Grind core!!!! This album just fuckin' kicks ass!!! Do
you like fast music with plenty of blats? Do you like double vocals including
screams & growls? Yes? Damn it, then this album is for you!!! The legendary
line-up Lee Dorrian/vocals, Mick Harris/drums, Bill Steer/guitar &
Shane Embury/bass will blow up your fuckin' head! There are 23 songs on
this album in the classical old-school Grind core vein! Everything is fast
stuff & it's still brutal after 11 years. Lyrics are 'bout some social/political
problems all over this filthy world. Before I start to talk 'bout their
other releases I must say something 'bout the photos in the back of this
album. The photo of Shane is totally funny...he just looks adorable...hahahaha...check
that photo out! OK than...this band is totally legendary & I'm sure
that at least 70% of Grind/Noise bands are influenced with it. Before this
album N.D. has released their even more legendary album, their debut
Scum.
Scum
is very interesting too, also because on it, 2 line-ups have changed. Then,
after From enslavement... the band has released the
Harmony Corruption
album & has shown that they can also play a 1st-rate Death metal. They've
been following this style with these releases:
Utopia Banished (this
one also includes some Grindy passages) &
Fear, emtiness, despair.
After these 2 releases they haven't changed their style, but they started
to use also some other elements.
NEXT: all
Brutal Truth CDs!!!
