The deftones are a band out of Sacramento, CA. Chino the lead singer, Stephan, and Chi knew each other from highschool and they used to jam together. The originall Deftones featured the three plus John Taylor, their first drummer. A few years later John quit and joined Prayer Wheel. The Deftones then held auditions for a new drummer, while they were doing this Abe from the band Phallucy filled in as their drummer. After a while, Abe quit Phallucy and joined the Deftones. When they were still a small band, they toured with Korn, L7 and other local bands. In 1995, they signed with Maverick Records and released Adrenaliine, their first album ever and later in Oct.1977 they released Around the Fur the second album.
