Mark Spence

Under construction

Mark Spence is the strong, silent type, we think! He's the level headed one, he keeps the rest of the band in line, a real bonus, every home should have one!
Mark started his musical life on the keyboard/piano/organ in about in 1988. Eight years later, after being impressed by the bass player of a local band, he was persuaded by Bexley to learn the bass. They appeared in a band together and found some notoriety!! However, the band fell apart, and the bass playing was put aside for the time being.
Then, on hearing the news that Bexley was forming a new band, and needed a bass player, Mark offered his services, and the band was complete.
After a while the bands name appeared. Amberleaf was born officially in january 1999.
As rehearsels continue, Mark brings the harder edge to Amberleaf's sound, prefering, as he does, to play american rock. This is Slowly defining our sound. But Mark has a softer side, as a huge Doors fan, our setlist wouldn't be complete without some of that 60's psycadelia!
