Memories

Her thought's returned to Brian, and the tears welled in her eyes as the memories came flooding back.

“This is going to be sooo funny…” Becca giggled to herself as she crept up behind Brian with a hand full of sand in her right fist. She wrapped her left arm around his body and pushed hers against him. He moaned in pleasure as she began kissing his shoulder blade.

“Close your eyes..” She whispered. He did as she wished and got the surprise of her life when she dumped her handful of sand down the front of his khakis.

“Becca!!!” Brian’s face registered shock.

Brian sighed as he sipped his tea and looked out into the night. He looked down at his hands as the warmed themselves around his mug. He reminisced how Becca's delicate hands fit perfectly in his own. They fit together perfectly in everything they did….like two pieces of a puzzle…when they were together, the world made sense…but when they were apart….

Brian closed his eyes as his mind was overtaken by memories of what had been.

"I can’t believe you did that!!” Brian said half smiling, half looking rather uncomfortable.
“I’m sorry Brian, I couldn’t help myself…” Becca said look up at Brian with innocent eyes.

He grinned, “ Your too cute when you do that. Now how am I’m going to get this sand out of my pants?” He pondered.
Becca giggled and ran her fingers under the waistband of his pants. “Need some help….?” She said looking into his eyes.

A smile played across Brian’s face. “Don’t tempt me…”

Becca laughed softly at the thoughts that were playing in her mind like an old movie as she cuddled herself in the blanket.

“So you and Brian are a thing now?” Cassidy asked, grinning as she watched Nick make a mistake.
“What do you mean ‘a thing’??” Becca asked turning back to Cassidy.
“Well has he asked you out yet..?” Cassidy asked also returning her gaze back to Becca.

“Well no….but..” Becca started.
“What! But I thought…” Cassidy said quite shocked.
“What!? You don’t have to ask each other out to be going out…..do you?!” Becca asked quieter.
“You have to make it official!” Cassidy said playfully!
“You're silly!” Becca playfully shoved Cassidy
“What! I’m just saying!” Cassidy laughed.

“It would be nice to know how he feels about me…and whether this is just a fling to him?!” Becca thought to herself.

Brian walked inside the darkened room and shut the glass sliding door behind him, still haunted by thoughts of him and Becca.

Becca and Brian laid on the bonnet of the car and looked up the stars.
“This is perfect…..” Brian sighed and leaned into kiss Becca, who, to his shot, pulled away.

“Becca?” Brian sat up puzzled. Becca sat up also and turned to him.
“Brian…….am I just a….fling….to you?” Becca asked, her eyes searching Brian’s face for a response.

Brian’s jaw dropped open.

“Of course not!! Becca why would you think….” Brian stammered, shocked.
“Then why haven’t you……asked me” Becca interrupted, and looked down not wanting to look Brian in the eyes.
“Oh….” Brian slapped himself he’d completely forgot. He was screaming at himself inside. “Hmmm good one Bri! The “actually ask the girl out” phase was quite an important one to skip, don’t ya think!” Brian mentally kicked himself.

He lifted her chin up, “I’m soooo sorry Bec!” Brian pleaded for forgiveness.
“So you actually wanted to?” Becca asked quietly, almost afraid of the answer, she was seriously falling for Brian and rejection would almost certainly lead to a broken heart.

“How could you even ask that?….Do you think I just go around like people’s emotions are just toys?” Brian asked gently.
“No…..I’m sorry Bri…I just needed….” Becca tried to explain.
“Shhhh…” Brian silenced her with a gentle kiss. He pulled away and smiled.

“Ok gotta do this properly…” He got off the bonnet, pulling Becca with him. He looked down at his hands and pulled off the plain silver band that he wore on his pinkie. He gently placed it on Rebecca’s left third finger and looked up at her.

“Rebecca, will you be my girl?”

Becca sat up in bed, there was no way she was going to be able to sleep. She lifted the covers quietly and quickly slipped into a pair of sweats. She tied her hair in a ponytail and headed out the door. She needed a walk to clear her mind.

“Yeah, yeah, come on we’ve got some serious shopping to do ya big hearthrobs…” Cassidy said and they began to walk towards he massive shopping complex.
Rebecca and Brian walked ahead, holding hands and whispering sweet nothings to each other. Cassidy, Kev and AJ proceeded to make kissy noises to annoy them. Brian turned around tot he three following them.
“Just cause You three can’t get a DATE!” He laughed.

Kev, AJ and Cassidy’s mouth’s dropped open.

“That was harsh Bri..” AJ said dramatically clutching his chest. Kev and Cassidy defended themselves.
“Nuhuh! Not even Bri!!! We’re playin’ the field…we’re cool!!”
Becca and Bri looked at each other and burst out laughing. “Yeah whatever guys..”

Brian turned the bathroom light on and slowly peeled his clothes off, watching himself with a sad expression in the mirror. He stood there naked, staring back at himself, almost as if his reflection was challenging him….challenging who he had become.

“BRIAN!!” She hissed. “What did you do that for…” She said quite annoyed as they walked out of the store.
“Because I wanted to…” Brian said almost hurt. They were now standing in a quiet corner away from the store.
“And why would you want to do that?” Becca spat back.
“…because I love you…” Brian said quietly, his crystal blue eyes piercing into Becca’s.
“Oh my god Brian….” Becca breathed.

Becca walked down the corridor slowly, taking deep breaths as she tried to push her thoughts to the back of her mind…. So far not working.

“Well that’s cool….how about the rest of you guys? Howie…?” The host would just not let it slip.
“Uhh…seeing someone…” Howie said quickly.
“Single and ready to play..” AJ winked. (Screams)
“Yup same here….single and loving it…” Kevin smiled.
“Nothing serious….” Brian said almost deliberately, as if almost reading from a script. Becca laughed.
“Ok I know that’s what we agreed on…..but you could have elaborated a little sweetie…” Becca and Cassidy were in fits of laughter at Brian’s worried expression as they went to a break.
“God Becca he’s so whipped…” Cassidy wiped a ‘laugh’ tear from her eye.
“Of course he is dammit! I have him under my spell…” Becca said mysteriously.
“Hmmm….starting to scare me now…please stop..” Cassidy giggled.

Brian stepped into the shower and under the hot spray, the water felt so good running all over him.

“Ummm Becca loves strawberries….” Brian grinned.
“Very good, two points for the boyfriend!” Kirstie laughed.
Brian laughed, “ So do I meet up to the ‘Boyfriend’ standards?”
Kirstie smiled, “Just making sure you’ll take good care of her is all…and so far you’re doing ok Littrell!”
“I would never hurt her..”

Becca came to Brian's door and stopped. She couldn't make herself keep walking, it was like she was magnetized to the spot.

“Hmm…morning beautiful how are you?” Brian smiled at Becca as she joined him at the breakfast table the next morning.
“Urgh…not too good…you?” Becca laughed pouring herself a glass of water.
“My head feels like it’s gonna explode…” Brian admitted.
“Yeah…that was a pretty wild night last night..” Becca laughed shaking her head.
“Mmmm…let’s not drink that much again for a little while ok?” Brian grinned.
“You’re getting old…” Becca teased. “Well I haven’t felt so good the time that we…..oh my god..” Brian’s grew wide.
“What??” Becca asked confused.
“Tomorrows our 6th month anniversary!!” Brian laughed checking his watch for the date.
“Oh my god I completely didn’t know that!!” Becca giggled.
“Typical!” Brian teased.
“Noo….its just that it so doesn’t feel like 6 months you know?” Becca shook her head in amazement.
“I know…..6 months since you guys got lost and found us…talk about fate..” Brian smiled lovingly at the girl he’d loved since the moment he saw her.
“Fate…” Becca whispered and kissed his lips lightly.

Brian turned around in the shower, he swore he heard knocking…..he shook his head and turned back to the spray.

Brian engulfed Becca in a hug.
“Hi to you too…” Becca smiled.
“I’m sorry…” Brian grinned and leaned in, kissing Becca. He pulled away.
“Hey Becca!!” Brian laughed.
“You think you’re so smart…” Becca shook her head.
“I think you’re so sexy..” Brian purred.
“Oooo….you watch yourself now Brok..” Becca grinned, walking down the hall to retrieve her bag from the dressing room.
“I’m watchin’ you…” Brian called after her.
“You’re such a nymph….” Becca rolled her eyes laughing.
“Ohh…that’s cold baby….cold…” Brian put a hand to his chest dramatically.

Becca knocked again, her heart beating a mile a minute. She could hear the shower running from inside the room. With shaking hands she tentatively opened the door and stepped inside the dark room.

Becca laughed softly, “Bri that tickles…..”
“What you mean this…..” Brian wriggled his eyebrows and continued to plant little kisses on her neck.
Becca suddenly stopped laughing and clutched her chest slightly. A small groan escaped her lips.
“What is it? Becca are you ok??” Brian looked at her worried.
“I dunno, my chest hurts…”

Brian leaned against the cool marble as the steam circled him in a blanket of mist.

“I do trust you. I do….its just she…” Becca defended, but Brian silenced her gently.
“I know you do….but we’ve just gotta make sure that she doesn’t make us see things that aren’t there….you mean everything to me and I couldn’t care about her if I wanted to…” Brian reassured her.
“Really??” Becca asked snuggling a little closer to him.
“Of course….I love you….and I trust you…more than anything..” Brian kissed her softly.
“I won’t ever hurt you Brian…” Becca whispered.

Brian's eyes snapped open as he heard the bathroom door open.
Becca stood there, her gaze fixed on his.
He stood there, unable to move as they studied each other's faces, both hearts pounding in their ears.

Before they knew what was happening Becca rushed over to Brian's waiting arms and they kissed like they had never kissed before, under the hot spray of the shower. Brian held her so tightly it felt like they were one. Becca ran her hands through Brian's hair as they continued their long passionate kiss.
