All I want for Christmas....is you

“Kirstie baby…stop looking around…the security gate will think we’ve got drugs or something…” AJ said, trying to cheer up his pale looking girlfriend.
“Are you sure that Buddy’s going to be alright on the plane?” Kirstie asked and looked at their brand new puppy looking up at her with big eyes from his travel cage.
“Yeah he’ll be fine…wontcha buddy?”

(CN: AJ and Kirstie’s new puppy ended up being named “Buddy Holly”. This is because of the name Buddy being cool and the fact that they got him on Christmas eve….hence the “Holly” part. It just happened that the name belonged to that real famous old singer…hehe. So that’s the history of the name…and all morning AJ had been playing with him and singing; “Deck the halls with Buddy Holly…” Cute huh?…anyway back to the story…)

“Ok here we are….” Nick said bringing three brightly wrapped parcels and plopped down next to Cassidy on the couch.
“This should be good….” Becca said dryly as she came in through the front door.
“I’m a good present buyer!” Nick pouted.
“It’s the thought that counts….” Cassidy smiled, noticing a flash of silver on Becca’s hand as she headed off to her room…she secretly rejoiced inside knowing that Becca was wearing his ring again.

"Ohh..this is nice…..ooo..Victoria's Secret…" Cassidy commented as she lifted the baby blue satin short nightdress out of its wrapping.
"I love that colour on you…" Nick admitted.
"Thanks sweetie…" Cassidy pecked him on the lips.
"And I got you a Victoria Secret gift voucher too…so that you can go in there and get something else…like the stuff I was too embarrassed to buy…" Nick grinned.
"Oh and you said I'm the one that always thinks of myself when buying presents…." Cassidy joked.
"CD?" Cassidy guessed unwrapping the next present that was a familiar shape.
"Ahh…special CD….I burned all our songs onto one CD….so there's like, a Nick and Cassidy greatest hits now…" Nick smiled brightly, quite proud of himself.
"Awww that is so sweet! And we have way too many songs by the way! What are we going to choose for our wedding if we've got a whole album of our songs?!" Cassidy laughed, looking at the back of the CD at the track listing.
Nick laughed a little nervously and Cassidy suddenly stopped and looked up.
"I can't believe I just said our wedding…..omigosh I'm sorry…" She said laughed flustered, heat rising to her cheeks.
"Nah its ok…" Nick said still a little uncomfortable.
"I can't…I….I can't believe I said that aloud!" Cassidy laughed, the tension easing a little bit.
"You think about it then? You think about us getting married?" Nick asked intrigued.
"I dunno! I guess sometimes…not like, seriously, just….basically the dress…" Cassidy grinned cheekily.
"Yeah that'd be right…" Nick kissed her forehead, placing the last present in her lap.
Cassidy quickly unwrapped and pulled the top object out.
"Oh my god that's gorgeous!" She gushed as she looked at the photo of her and Nick, in an intricate gold frame. The beautiful picture was taken in Europe, both of them cuddling with a blanket of gorgeous white snow around them, their noses and cheeks with a tinge of pink beneath the huge smiles they both wore.
"But wait….the present to beat all others….what you really asked Santa for…." Nick grinned, pulling out the remaining object from the last parcel.
Cassidy looked down at the object and began to laugh like she never had before. She started to hold her stomach in pain as wave after wave of laughter came over whenever she looked down.
"Cassidy!" Nick laughed himself watching her.
"I'm sorry Nick…but…but….a picture of YOU?!" Cassidy laughed again.
"What's wrong with that!" Nick said indignantly.
"Who gives someone a picture of themselves as a present?!" Cassidy asked incredulously.
"Oh so you don't want a picture of me! FINE!" Nick took the large frame off her.
"No no…I do..its just…." Cassidy burst into laughter again.

Becca walked into the room to see what the chaos was about.
"What's going on?!" She asked confused.
"Nick….gave me….." Cassidy struggled to breathe in between laughs. In the end she just showed Becca the large picture in which Nick was smiling his biggest for the camera.
Becca's mouth dropped as she laughed in disbelief.
"Who gives a picture of…." She began.
"Alright alright! Stop making fun of me!" Nick said getting annoyed.
"Aw I'm sorry sweetie….I love it…" Cassidy laughed pulling him in for a kiss.

"Guys we've really got to get going…." Becca hated to interrupt.

Nick and Cassidy reluctantly broke away.
"Ok I'll just go pack my presents into my suitcase and I'll be out in a tick…" Cassidy bounded down the hallway.
Becca watched Nick as he played with his new ring sitting on his third finger.
"Nice ring…" Becca commented.
"Thanks….same with you…." Nick said deliberately, nodding to Brian's silver band.
"He left it for me…..old times sake…" Becca flushed slightly.
"You don't have to apologize for what you and Brian….had…." Nick said cautiously.
"We're good friends…best friends….I'm just wearing his ring that he gave me…." Becca smiled brightly.
"Ok well that's cool..…do you need help with your cases downstairs?" Nick asked standing up.

*Lexington Kentucky*

"Can you pass the corn?" Kevin asked Brian from across the table at the huge Christmas lunch that Mr and Mrs Littrell had every year.
"That's it son….get some meat on your bones…you've lost too much weight Kev…" One of the notorious uncles commented.
"Remember when Kev was in high school Bill? At 17 he had the body of a full grown man…." Another started.

"Here we go…" Kevin sighed.

"You coulda made it Kevin…..the best damn linebacker in highschool football in the whole of Kentucky…." Uncle Bill shook his head.
"Coulda played college ball…." Uncle Joe added, with a slight sigh.

"Oh come on guys! No one knew that for certain! I didn't even really like football that much!" Kevin said exasperated.

Brian looked at Kevin's defensive face across the table. Poor guy. Got it every year from the family.
"Have they looked at Kevin's bank account lately? Really. Who should be complaining…" Brian smiled to himself. Brian then looked up in surprise as he heard his name.

"I mean, I can understand Brian getting into this singing and dancing thing….cause he, well Brian was always the girly one…" Uncle Wayne remarked.
Brian laughed shaking his head. Kevin rolled his eyes.
"Whatever guys….I love my profession and I'm earning enough to keep you gamblers happy so I don't wanna hear another word about it…" Kevin smiled slightly.
"Yeah yeah…..the big bucks are in the NFL….you'll be sorry one day Kev…." Uncle Joe patted him on the back.

"Did you hear that Nancy's girl is pregnant…" Mrs Littrell changed the subject.
"Really?? Little Lucy that used to live around the corner?" Kevin said in disbelief.
"Oh yes! And to a rodeo chaser can you believe it?! I thought that girl knew better….." Auntie Margie shook her head.

A pang of guilt hit Brian in the stomach. Was he going to tell his parent's about Becca being pregnant? And if so…when?
