Where can we go from here

"I thought it was over between you two?" AJ asked Howie confused.
"Well you thought wrong didn't you…." Howie grinned, putting his arm around Holly's shoulders affectionately.
"Well I'm really glad…" AJ said sincerely.

"Hey guys!" Cassidy jumped on AJ from behind, successfully scaring the crap out of him.
"Cassidy can you ever make a quiet entrance?" Kirstie asked amused.
"Yeah, but loud ones are so much more fun…" Cassidy said sarcastically.
"Ooo….sandwiches…" Becca remarked, realizing that she hadn't eaten yet.
"Yes Becca…..they are sandwiches…." Howie teased walking over with her to get some food.

"Merry Christmas everyone…." Holly grinned widely as they all sat down on the plush couches.
Everyone mumbled their greetings and sat watching the planes land and take off.

"What the hell are we going to do without each other for a whole month??" Cassidy asked suddenly.
"I was just thinking that…." AJ admitted.

"God…its going to be so weird…." Becca shivered, sitting down and passing around the sandwiches.
"Living in each others pockets for 7 months…….I never thought what I'd do if Cassidy wasn't there to make fun of…" Kirstie shook her head.
"Hey…" Cassidy laughed.
"But seriously guys…..I'm going to miss you all!" Holly sighed, but then a look came over her face.

"I've never asked….how the hell did you guys meet? I mean, Howie just picked me up at a club….nothing interesting…" Holly joked.
"Hey! That was pretty smooth work there I thought…" Howie winked.
"Yeah sure…..that's probably what you do to all the girls…" Holly teased.
"Nup…only hot ones like you.." Howie grinned.
"You're such a male…" Holly rolled her eyes and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Well….actually, we were lost…." Becca remembered.
"Oh very convenient…" AJ said sarcastically.
"Oh shutup! We were so lost! Frickin' Cassidy….who couldn’t get lost with her navigating…" Becca laughed.

"….And so we went over to this big warehouse to ask for directions…and ended up getting bailed up by this security guard…" Cassidy shook her head.

"Oh my god you're kidding!" Holly said wide eyed.

"So our big hero's came and bailed us out…." Cassidy said, poking Nick affectionately in the tummy.

"Becca and Brian were going out in like 2 days…." AJ said, a little hesitantly. But Becca's slight smile but him at ease.

"Nickolas here didn't want anything to do with me…." Cassidy said dramatically.

"What!?" Holly said in disbelief.

Nick's mouth dropped open.
"Oh that's CRAP!" He exploded.

"True! It took him like, a month or so to come around…" Cassidy shook her head.
"OH! That's so not true! I wanted…." Nick argued flustered.

"You're kidding! Looking at you two now I would have thought you two would have been love at first sight…." Holly said amazed.

"Oh I'm sure that it could have been….but there was Mandy…and then there was Amber…and then…" Cassidy was enjoying watching Nick squirm.

"What about Amber?" AJ asked suddenly.
"Amber the wardrobe mistress?" Howie chimed in.

"I'm lost…" Kirstie and Holly said at the same time.

"Cassidy…..that didn't mean crap…you know it…." Nick said through gritted teeth.
"I know sweetheart…." Cassidy said sweetly, making Nick even more frustrated.

"What didn't mean crap??"
"What with Amber didn't mean crap?!" The others were now leaning in, craving for the gossip, except of course for Becca who knew it all already.

"I…I can't say…." Cassidy said looking at Nick, who was staring out at the planes with an annoyed look on his face. It took all her strength not to laugh at how childish he could be sometimes.

"Oh come on Cass! Please! We've got an hour before boarding…we can have an ultimate truth session, like in the old days…" AJ pleaded, the others nodding in agreement.

"Umm I don't..…." Cassidy debated.
"Cassidy!" Everyone sighed exasperated.
"Ok ok….Nick had….Nick had Amber in Canada…" Cassidy said finally, a little twinge of something, a mix of jealousy or anger or something in her stomach…but she quickly pushed it away reminding herself that it was all over and something that Nick himself regretted.

"You are kidding me!" Howie's mouth fell open.
"Nick you….you….you legend!" AJ raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"I had no idea…" Kirstie shook her head.
"Yeah yeah….well I'm not proud…." Nick mumbled.

"That's what he says when the girlfriend's here…." AJ leaned over to Howie.
"Hey! Shutup!" Cassidy popped him one on the arm.

"Alright alright….Someone else for truth now!" Nick shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Ok….one for the girls. Do you, if ever…fantasize about another Backstreet Boy….and if so…who?" AJ looked at the girls expectantly. The girls looked at each other mischievously.

"Umm..of course not…" Kirstie said slowly.
Cassidy burst out into laughter and the guys looked at her suspiciously.
"Who?!" The guys asked intrigued.

"Holly?" Nick asked.
"Umm…..probably….eeerrrr….Kevin, yeah Kevin…" Holly bit her lip.
"Kevin?!" Howie turned to her laughing.
"Yeah Kevin…." Becca agreed.
"Kevin!" Howie turned to her as well.
"He's just soo…." Becca looked at Holly.
"…Sooo…." Holly smiled back.

"Sooo manly…" Cassidy sighed dreamily.

"Cassidy!!" Howie turned to her finally, breaking into laughter.
"Kevin! He could be your dad!!" Nick said defensively.
"Oh hardly Nick…." Cassidy rolled her eyes.

"Nup…Kevin…sex on legs…" Becca nodded.
"Hell yeah…" Holly agreed softly.
"Uhuh…" Cassidy sighed, a slight smile on her face.

"Well what about you Kirstie? Are you part of the 'Thank heaven for Kevin' club too?" AJ asked amused.

Kirstie shook her head coyly, a little grin on her face.
"Nuhuh….not that backstreet boy…." She said mischievously.

"Who?? Howie!" Becca guessed.
"Nup….sorry Howie…" Kirstie laughed.
"Oh…rejected…" Howie joked.

"Who then!?" Holly asked intrigued.

Kirstie looked at Cassidy and a huge smile broke out on her face.

"Oh no you don't…." Cassidy's eyes narrowed suspiciously.

"Oh! She wants Nick!!" Howie laughed.
Kirstie blushed as everyone snickered and chuckled around her.

"Yeah well, who wouldn't fall for that blonde, blue eyes, sex on toast thing the boy's got going on?!" Kirstie exclaimed, Nick turning bright red this time.

Kirstie leaned over to Cassidy.
"If you ever get sick of him….you know where I am…." She winked mischievously.
"Kirstie, stop….I'm never gonna get sick of him….at least not for you to seduce him anyway…." Cassidy huffed, taking hold of Nick's hand defensively.
"Oh well….you don't need to give him up…I'm sure we can work out something….the more the merrier…" Kirstie winked.
"Kirstie!" Cassidy and AJ both exclaimed at the same time, Becca couldn't help but laugh.

"Aww…baby you jealous?" Kirstie cooed at AJ.
"What? Of Nicky boy….course not…" He said slowly, while snuggling closer to her protectively.

Cassidy looked over at Nick who still looked slightly embarrassed at what Kirstie had just said.
He saw Cassidy looking at him and pouted.
"You know it turns me on when you do that…" She whispered into his ear, biting on his earlobe discretely.
A smile suddenly spread over Nick's face.
"We've got some time before our flight….wanna find somewhere quiet…and…" He whsipered back, his voice low and husky.
"Nick! I know it's Christmas, but….well, you don't get that present till a months up…" Cassidy grinned, squeezing his thigh playfully.
"Cassidy…I'm dying here…" Nick pleaded with his eyes.
"Oh you are not dying!" She laughed.
"Well….I might just have to take Kirstie up on her offer then…." Nick said sitting back casually.
"Oh you wouldn't dare!" Cassidy replied shocked.

A woman's voice sounded through the terminal announcing that their flights were now boarding.

"I guess this is it….." AJ got up, grabbing his backpack.
"Guess so…" Cassidy said sadly, looking around the group.

"Guys! Come on look at yourselves! Its only one month…its not like we're never going to see each other again…." Becca laughed.

"Yeah yeah….I know…its just like….the end of a chapter or something…." Nick shook his head.
"But there's going to be more…." Cassidy said squeezing his hand.

"Yeah…our lives….just one big story…" Kirstie grinned.
"It's true you know…." Howie raised his eyebrows.
"Pretty long novel…" Holly laughed.
"That's just because its so interesting…" Cassidy grinned.

"This is your final boarding call…."

"Well….I guess we'll see ya around…" Cassidy said as they all hugged one last time.

"Stay tuned for the sequel…" Kirstie winked as they went in their different directions, taking one last look back.

"But where we can go from here?" Becca whispered, a pit of sadness in her growing stomach.
