RING RING

Cassidy and Becca looked at each other and laughed.
“OMEN!” They smiled at each other.

“I’ll get it…” Becca said walking to answer the door, and being met by Brian’s perfect, smiling face.
Becca grinned. “You look so sexy..”
“Thanks...but, wow, you look incredible…and, these are for you...” Brian pulled out a bunch of pink roses that matched her dress. Rebecca’s mouth fell open.
“Ohhh my god Brian they’re beautiful!” She exclaimed smiling the huge bunch of roses.
“I'm glad you like them...” He laughed.
“Hmmm ok I’d better get these in water and then we can go ok?” Becca headed back inside and Brian waited in the hallway.
“You can come in you know..” Becca looked at Brian standing in the hallway with an amused expression on her face.
“Well I was hoping if I waited out here you’d move your cute butt so that we could actually arrive on time.." Brian defended.
“Hmmm probably a good point..” Becca laughed grabbing her matching babypink handbag and headed out the door yelling goodbye to Cassidy as she left.
“At least Brian’s on time…” Cassidy thought to herself as she added the final touches to her hair.

Kevin had offered to pick her up since he was her date after all and as yet had not shown. Cassidy smiled to herself.
“So Nick dumped Mandy huh…” Cassidy pouted in the mirror as she put her last coat of lipstick on. She then straightened up and put the lipstick in her bag. She looked at her reflection in the mirror.
“Don’t get you’re hopes up Cassidy..” She whispered and then heard a knock at the door.
“COMING!” She called and walked out of her room.
“Hey Kev…” She smiled as Kev stood in the doorway holding a big bunch of flowers.
“You look gorgeous..” Kev smiled and gave Cassidy a hug.

“Damn she smells good..” Kevin thought to himself as he released her and handed her the flowers.

“Thanks..You’re not looking to bad yourself Mr Richardson…these flowers are beautiful Thank-you!” Cassidy gushed as she hunted for a vase to put them in…giving up she just stuck them in the same vase as Becca’s roses.

“Damn he smells good….” Cassidy thought to herself as she arranged the flowers nicely and Kevin gave his hair a quick check in the dining room mirror. Cassidy found him at the mirror playfully pushing him out of the way.

“Are you sure this looks ok?” Cassidy scrutinized herself.
Kevin looked at her thoughtfully.

“Hmmm…perfect..except for one thing..” Kevin said slowly.
“What?? What’s wrong?” Cassidy turned to Kevin.
“This looks a little bare..” He said tapping a finger on her upper chest/neck area where a necklace etc would usually sit.
“Oh I know but I couldn’t find anything of mine that would go with this dress! Great now what am I going to do!” Cassidy's eyebrows furrowed in frustration as she turned back to look in the mirror.

Kevin smiled and stepped behind Cassidy and reached into his pocket.
“Will this do?” Kevin said softly and pulled out a velvet blue box. He opened it to reveal the small silver necklace Cassidy had been admiring earlier that day. Cassidy’s face paled.
“Oh my god Kevin…”She whispered as she watched Kevin put it delicately around her neck.
“You like?” He smiled. Cassidy just nodded.

"Thankyou so much...for everything.." She said sincerely.

"I saw that you loved it...and well..." Kevin shrugged.
“Thanks Kevin…I honestly don’t know what to say…” Cassidy looked continued to look at her reflection stunned.
“Well that is really amazing isn’t it!” Kevin joked. Cassidy looked up and poked her tongue at him.
“I don’t EVEN talk as much as you!” She laughed.
"Oh I love it...Kevin thankyou!!" She gushed again.

Kevin leaned in and kissed her for a moment before Cassidy pulled away, flushed.

"Kevin, umm..."
"Shit, I didn't mean to...I mean, god sorry.." Kevin blushed, he had just gotten caught up in the moment. He had warned himself he had to get over this little thing he had for Cassidy, but it was obviously not all going to plan.

"It's all good..." Cassidy said quietly looking at her hands.
"No I'm serious...I didn't mean to do that, I'm not trying to get into your pants or anything..." Kevin said quickly, flushing slightly.
Cassidy laughed. "I know..."
"So lets have an awesome time ok?" He smiled and then looked at his watch.
“Oh shit we’d better get moving!” He grabbed Cassidy’s hand and headed for the door.

“Hey guys!” Brian smiled as he and Becca entered the stunning hotel ballroom where the party was to be held. As usual the boys waited till the whole group was there before sitting at their table….it was just tradition. So far present were Nick, Howie, Julie, AJ and now Brian and Becca. They exchanged “Hello’s” and “Wow you look amazings” and continued to wait.
“Cassidy’s not coming?” Nick said noticing her absence.
“She’s coming with Kevin...” Becca said quietly.
“Oh…” Nick answered flatly.

Brian glanced at Becca questionatively (this is a word, I think. I just can’t figure out how to spell it…hehe shutup!).

“About time you two!” Howie said as Kevin and Cassidy waltzed in looking stunning together. Nick’s mouth practically fell open when he saw Cassidy in her satin dress.
”She is so beautiful..” He thought to himself.
“Wipe your mouth Nick….” Becca leaned over and whispered into his ear.
“Yeah right Becca…..I just think her dress is really nice…that’s all..” Nick whispered back.
“Sure, sure!” Becca laughed knowingly.

“Hey guys..” Kev and Cassidy smiled brightly as they joined the group. Everyone had to admit they looked awesome together. They exchanged “hugs and hugs”.(Cassidy’s new invention for the ‘friend greeting process’).
Cassidy turned to Nick. “Hey..” She said softly almost falling into his deep blue eyes.
“You look amazing..” He breathed letting his eyes roam her satin clad figure, momentarily pausing on all the “good bits”.
“So do you..” Cassidy blushed almost uncomfortable with his roaming eyes.
“I’m glad you came.” Nick’s eyes returned and met hers.
“Me too..” Cassidy looked around to see that the others were already seated at their table don the front.
“We’d better go…” Cassidy laughed.
“Ok,” Nick said starting to turn when Cassidy intentionally cleared her throat. Nick looked back at her questionably.
“What sort of gentleman are you….a lady must always be escorted to her table!” Cassidy grinned.
“Oh sorry…Milady..” Nick smiled and bowed slightly before offering his arm.
Cassidy took it gladly and they laughed their way over to the others both glad that the tension had been relieved.

2 HOURS LATER (AFTER ALL THE BORING SPEACHES AND DINNER AND SUCH!)

Becca and Brian & Howie and Julie were dancing the night away. While Kevin, Cassidy, Nick and AJ were still at the table talking.
“Who is that blonde that you’ve been eyeing off all night, Kevin?” Cassidy teased.
“What?! I have not!” Kevin said defensively.
“Just go talk to her….” Cassidy said grinning.
“Easy for you to say!” Kevin said, once again glancing over at the cute blonde sitting a couple of tables away.
“Well if you don’t I might, that girl has killer legs!” AJ exclaimed peering over his dark glasses.
“Take those sunglasses off..you look dodgy!” Cassidy said pulling AJ’s glasses off.
“Well personally I think it is quite sophisticated..” AJ grinned.
Cassidy laughed and looked over at Becca who was dancing with Brian.

“God they are so cute aren’t they!?” Cassidy sighed still watching the two slow dance to “Angel of mine”.
“Oh yeah…Bri seems to really like her..” Kevin added.
“Well he told her that he loves her….” Cassidy’s gossiping streak prevailed as always.
“What?!” Nick asked confused.
“Don’t you guys know??” Cassidy lowered her voice and looked around to see who was listening.
“Know what?? Cassidy spill..” Kevin, Nick and AJ leaned in waiting.
“Ok here’s the story…” Cassidy started in hushed tones as she told the guys about Brian buying Becca’s dress and saying the “L” word to her.

Julie looked over from the dance floor to their table and saw Nick, Kevin, AJ and Cassidy deep in conversation. Well actually Cassidy looked like she was the only one talking but that was normal. She nudged Howie and nodded to the table.
“I wonder what they’re gossiping about?” Julie smirked.
“Hmmm….I don’t know, probably about how beautiful you look tonight..” Howie whispered in Julie’s ear.
“You’re such a charmer Howard Dorough..” Julie smiled lovingly at Howie.
“I know..” Howie laughed and sweetly kissed her lips.

“Oh great the ‘gooftroop’ has arrived..” Becca groaned as her and Brian danced. She was referring to Sarah, Hannah and Nikki, who had just barged in wearing short, tight, low cut dressing and pretty shocking hair and makeup. They were obviously more than a little intoxicated.
“Don’t worry about them..” Brian smiled and pulled Rebecca a little closer to him.

“Well guys, I’m going to the dance floor…” AJ said.
“Ok AJ, have fun. Don’t forget to save me a dance!” Cassidy smiled.
“Definitely Cass!" AJ said and headed off to where everyone was dancing.

Cassidy and Nick sat a little uncomfortable at the table together. Nick’s brain was whirring with thoughts.

”So she’s not going out with Kevin, but I saw them together, they wouldn’t have had a one night stand, would she?! Brian never told me that he loved Becca, I suppose I was hard on him yesterday morning. I’ll have to talk to him about it later. Now what do I do about Cassidy..."

“I have to ask her about Kevin…” He finally decided.

“Time to have some fun....” Sarah smirked.
