You wrote the book on love

“"You wrote the book"…put that one on…” Becca said looking at he CD cover (BN: If you haven’t heard this song cause it’s not on the American Millennium album, well me and Cassidy find it quite amusing!)

“Ok here we go….” Cassidy said as she put the CD in the player.
“Cool..” Becca said keeping her eyes on the road.

When I first met you my life turned a page, Chapter one was how true love is made..

“Sweet…” Becca commented as she listened to the lyrics.
“Shhhh….” Cassidy hushed turning the song up a little louder.

You knew everything from A to Z
What pleases you and what pleeeeeeaasees me….

Nick’s voice sailed into the roof. Cassidy and Becca looked at each other in shock.

“What the hell was that??” Cassidy gasped.
“Ummm….I’m not quite sure…” Becca replied.
“Play it again…” Cassidy giggled.

“Good morning guys!” Amber said cheerfully as she walked onto the bus that would take them to the set of a Canadian talk show about an hour’s drive away.
“Hey…” All the guys greeted Amber, except for one.
“Where’s Nick?” Amber asked.
“Entertainment room playing Nintendo..” Kevin said not looking up from his newspaper.
“Ok cool thanks…” Amber smiled heading for the Entertainment room.

“Oh my god that is so funny!!” Cassidy giggled as they listened to Nick’s “What pleeeeeeases me” high bit in ‘You wrote the book’ again.
“Talk about double meaning…” Becca raised her eyebrows.
“I wonder if he actually…” Cassidy began thoughtfully.
“Ok Cass lets not even go there…” Becca laughed.
“Ok let the song play through now…” Cassidy said leaning back into her seat.
“One more time…” Becca smirked and hit the rewind button.
“Why don’t you just concentrate on the road..” Cassidy laughed as they swerved a little.
“Hmmm…probably a good idea!” Becca grinned putting both hands firmly on the steering wheel.

Amber watched Nick unnoticed in the doorway. He lost his game and disgustedly threw the controller on the floor in front of him. He sighed and rubbed his temples. Amber walked in and sat behind Nick.
She smiled and began to massage his muscular shoulders.
Nick jumped slightly and turned around looking at Amber puzzled.
“You look a little tired…” She said sympathetically.
“Uhhh….yeah…” Nick replied still a little uncomfortable with Amber’s roaming hands.
“You should really learn to trust people more…” Amber said coolly. Nick closed his eyes and groaned slightly as Amber worked her magic on a tense muscle knot halfway down his back.
“I…uhhh….do…” Nick tried to concentrate.
“No you don’t….” Amber began as she got up and walked around to stand in front of Nick, who was still seated on the floor.
“How…how do you know?” He looked up at Amber in anticipation. His heart was beating fast.
“Because…..” Amber ever so slowly lowered herself over Nick so that her eyes were level with his. She studied them for a moment.
Nick gently ran a hand over Amber’s smooth leg that was now straddled across his lap, never breaking eye contact.
“Because I can see it in your eyes…” Amber delicately traced Nick’s cheekbone with the outside of her hand.
“What can you see…” Nick was mesmerized.
“You think you can’t trust me….” Amber whispered and gently kissed his neck. Nick closed his eyes and let the feeling of her tongue rush over him. She worked her way up to his ear, her breath hot.
“You think I’m dangerous….” She whispered.
Nick responded nuzzling Amber’s collarbone sensually. He stopped and looked her in the eye.
“Are you…?” Nick asked.
“Of course…” Amber replied with a smirk before forcefully kissing Nick and pushing his back to the floor, Nick responding eagerly.

“Ahh…finally. Home sweet home…” Becca smiled as they entered their apartment and kicked their shoes off.
“I’ll check the machine…” Cassidy said walking into the hallway.

“Message 1…received 8:00am….BEEP!”

“Hey Becca its Brian, when you get home give me a call on my cell phone ok sweetie?”

“No more messages….BEEP!”

“Becca, Brian called….he said to call him back on his cell phone…” Cassidy said handing Becca the cordless phone.
“Oh yay!!” Becca squealed excitedly and quickly dialed the number.
Cassidy smiled a little jealous at her friend’s enthusiasm and walked out of the room so that Becca could have a little privacy. She walked upstairs to her room and flopped down on the bed.
She looked at her beside table that had a framed picture of her, Becca and the guys all dolled up for the Jive dinner they’d gone to when ‘The One’ had just been released.
She was in the middle of Nick and AJ. Nick had his arms around her. She looked closer, she had never noticed that before…they looked like a couple. Cassidy smiled, she could remember the way he smelled that night. She laughed.

Flashback

“What the hell is wrong with cologne!” Cassidy laughed.
“What?? I just don’t like it! Deodorants fine by me!” Nick said indignantly.
“Yeah I guess…if you’re on the school basketball team! This is a big dinner!” Cassidy pointed out.
“You obviously can’t tell the difference! Was it not you that just said… ‘you smell nice…what cologne are you wearing’...?” Nick defended.
“What’s your point?” Cassidy laughed.
“Umm…you’re just stupid and I’m not!” Nick poked her tongue at her.
“Ohhhh…I’m just at a loss for words Nick…I believe that was the greatest comeback in history!” Cassidy said sarcastically.
“Shutup…” Nick said sulkily.
“Fine….soap boy..” Cassidy said cheekily and ran behind Kevin who laughed at the two ‘kids’.

End Flashback

“I wonder what he’s doing right now…” Cassidy said thoughtfully, still staring at the photo.
Her gaze then fell on the phone beside the photo.
“He did say I could call anytime…” Cassidy thought to herself.
“Nah….” Cassidy debated.
She stared at the phone some more….and then looked at the photo.
“Just to say hello….” Cassidy smiled and dialed Nick’s cell phone number.
