Bumper Cars!


“We’ve got to meet the others….” Becca sighed as she lovingly stroked Brian’s hair as they lounged in the sun by the pool.
“Mmmmmm….” Brian moaned not moving.
“Come on Bri, get your ass up..” Becca laughed.
“I’m coming….” Brian said still not moving.
“You know, if you’re so tired….we can prospone…..uhh… ‘tonight’ for another time…” Becca said a little disappointedly.
“Huh? Where did you say we had to meet the others?? Lets go!” Brian’s eyes snapped open and he practically jumped off his lounge chair, grabbing his towel and began to walk, grabbing Becca’s hand.
“Hmmm…desperate much??” Becca laughed as Brian dragged her along.

Cassidy was laughing her ass off as Nick. Kevin and Howie tried to get themselves out of their predicament.

“What are you guys?! Like the three stooges!?” One tattooed guy laughed.
“Actually….” Howie started.
“Anyways we’d better be going guys….” Nick quickly added.
“Ummm yeah….” Kevin agreed and began to walk away embarrassed. Nick and Howie soon followed.
“Hey!” The girl with the large stuffed toy called out, the boys continued to walk away.
“Our answer is YES!!” The second girl called out even louder, then both of them laughed.
Kevin and Howie looked back and grinned but saw the two burly guys with menacing looks on their faces, they decided it would be safer to continue walking.

“What were you guys thinking?” Cassidy said wiping tears of laughter from her eyes.

“Shutup Cassidy!” Kevin warned.
“I’m sorry, but my friend wants to know if you think I’m cute!” Cassidy mocked Kevin’s famous pickup line.
“That’s it laugh it up Cass!” Kevin said sarcastically.
Brian and Becca soon joined them by the bumper cars. “What ya’s laughing about?” Becca grinned.
“Well…..” Cassidy started but stopped because Kevin and Howie were giving her the death stare.
“Nick just tripped on his ass and got fairy floss all over his face….” Cassidy finished grinning.
“Hey! I didn….” Nick went to protest but was elbowed in the ribs.
“Yes….I fell on my ass, I admit it, satisfied!” Nick said, covering for Kevin and Howie’s failed attempt to pick up some sugar.
“Aww poor Nicky!” Becca teased.
Kirstie, Matt, AJ and Emma soon joined them.

“So birthday girl…any rides you want to go?” Brian asked wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Well…..” Becca glanced at the bumper cars then back at Cassidy and Kirstie.
“BUMPER CARS!!!” The three of them yelled at once and raced over to the ticket booth.
“Did we miss something?” Nick asked confused.
“Long story….” Emma shook her head.
“You guys coming??” Becca grinned as she stood up from a red bumper car.
“Oh yeah!!”
Everyone jumped into a car. Except for Kirstie and Matt who were sharing one.
“Hope your wearing a belt!” Cassidy grinned seductively at Nick, who smirked back.
“Here we go! Cassidy the crazy driver at her best!!” Kirstie laughed.
“I wouldn’t be laughing Miss O’Donnell! I’ve seen your driving skills and I’m still wondering which cereal box you got you’re license out of! Matt I would be scared if I was you!!” Cassidy laughed.

The cars suddenly started up and Cassidy was off, bumping cars this way and that.
“Ow! That hurt Cass!” Becca laughed as Cassidy rammed her from behind.
“God don’t you just love bumper cars!” Cassidy grinned as she overtook Becca.
“Oh yeah!” Becca smirked as she smashed into the side of Cassidy’s car, she laughed and sped off.
“Oh no you don’t!” Cassidy laughed and raced after her.
Kevin soon smashed into Cassidy’s car. “That’s for laughing at us before!” He grinned evilly.
“What’s this, pick on Cassidy day!” She laughed as everyone piled up in one corner and were jammed.
Two guys jumped on the back of Howie and Becca’s car to help get things moving again.
Nick pulled up to Cassidy’s car and leaned carefully over her, kissing the tip of her nose.
“What was that for?” Cassidy asked innocently.
“For being so cute, even if you are a mad driver!” He grinned and ran his hand though his blond hair which was now all over the place. Cassidy slapped him playfully, “I’m a good driver….” She then sped off and rammed into the back of Brian’s car, Nick laughed loudly.
“What! I couldn’t help myself….he was right there………Sorry Bri!” Cassidy grinned like a small child with a new toy.

“TIME’S UP!!!!” A large guy yelled as each car slowed to a halt.

“So what’s everyone doing tonight?” Cassidy asked as they began walking out of the park.
“Where’s Bri?” Becca looked around.
“He’s coming, said he just had to get something….” Nick said.
“Well why don’t we meet up somewhere for dinner tonight?” Kevin suggested.
“Ummm not us guys…” Kirstie smiled as Matt held her around the waist.
“No problems….thanks for bringing us here today!” Becca smiled giving Kirstie a hug.
“We’ll have to catch up later this week ok? Do the café chick thing!” Kirstie grinned as she headed off with Matt.
“They’re so cute,” Cassidy laughed as she watched Kirstie try to convince Matt to let her drive.

“Yeah well suppose I’m going back to my place…..all ALONE, sigh….” Emma said quite dramatically.
Becca laughed, “Hey Em, wanna come out to dinner tonight?”
“Yeah! Well if that’s ok with you guys?” She asked.
“Yeah sure!” The guys all nodded.
“Ok well why don’t we all meet at Antonio’s at about 7:00…..” Kevin suggested.
“Sounds great!” Becca smiled, she’d had a wonderful day. Suddenly a large teddy bear appeared in front of her.
“Awww how gorgeous!! Cassidy isn’t this the most gorgeous thing you’ve ever seen!” Becca squealed excitedly as she hugged the stuffed toy tightly.
“Pretty cute….” Cassidy replied smiling slightly as Becca strangled Brian in a hug.

“Well we’d better get going, these chicks have only 3 hours to get ready…Cassidy’s never gonna make it!” Kevin joked as they headed for Brian’s Jeep.
“Good to see you’re not losing your wit in your old age….” Cassidy poked her tongue at Kevin.
“Hmmm….good comeback Cass,” Kevin rolled his eyes and casually draped his arm around Cassidy’s shoulder as they walked. The two were soon deep in conversation.

“I bet they’re talking about me…” Nick pouted as he and AJ watched Kevin and Cassidy walk ahead of them.
“They’re not talking about you Nick!” AJ rolled his eyes.
“How do you know? And what’s with the arm??” Nick hissed.
“So she suddenly you’re property huh Nick?” AJ replied quietly. There was no sign of anger or annoyance in his voice…just interest.
“No, I mean yeah….oh, no, but….” Nick tried to figure out exactly what he thought.
“Well, how did you ask her out?” AJ asked.
“Uhh….well I haven’t exactly yet…” Nick admitted, AJ nodded.
“Well there you go. Sort of what you want, what she wants, and go from there….but drop the possessive act….it’s not attractive…” AJ laughed softly.
“Yeah you’re right…” Nick nodded.
“As usual….”
“Whatever…..”
