Anyone for Cricket?

“I can’t believe Brian’s still asleep!” Cassidy laughed.
“You think I should wake him?” Becca asked.
“Nah let him sleep….” Cassidy said switching on the TV. “Oo!! Australia are playing Pakistan in half an hour!” Cassidy squealed.
“Get out! The cricket!?” Becca said flopping down on the leather couch.
“Uhuh! We’re so watching it!” Cassidy smirked.
“Hell yeah! Hey should we invite the others round?”
“Sure, see if Em wants to come over to…I think she’s still feeling down about having to move back home…” Cassidy said sympathetically.
“Ok I’ll go call..” Becca said picking up Brian’s address book.

Brian soon walked sleepily downstairs in his boxer shorts.
Cassidy blew a loud wolf whistle, “Bout time you got up sleepy head…”
“Huh! Oh hi Cassidy…” Brian laughed softly. “Where’s Bec?”
“On the hall phone I think….” Cassidy smiled.
“Thanks…”

Brian wrapped his arms around Becca’s waist and kissed her ear gently.
Becca giggled and motioned to Brian that she was on the phone. He continued to kiss her neck, sending shivers down her spine.
“Brian!” Becca giggled again. “Sorry Kev, yeah come on over…” She continued to invite Kevin round.
“Umm are you ahh…busy?” Kevin raised his eyebrows.
“Brian just woke up…” Becca grinned.
“Oh ok! Well see you in half an hour..” Kevin laughed and hung up the phone.
Becca turned and kissed Brian. “Good afternoon sleepyhead…”
“Hey gorgeous..” Brian smiled and kissed her back.
As they broke apart Brian looked at Becca concerned.
“How are you?” He asked
“I’m fine…really…She smiled
“No regrets??” He asked almost frightened of the answer.
“Of course not! You were…what is that?!?!” Brian stopped talking and him and Becca listened intently.
They heard Cassidy’s voice cheering from the loungeroom.

“Ooo Ahh…GLEN McGRATH!!!!!”

“Ahh!! The crickets on!!!” Becca laughed and sprinted into the loungeroom where Cassidy was dancing and cheering.
Brian laughed and shook his head as someone knocked on the front door.
“Hey Nick…” Brian greeted as he opened the door.
Nick looked Brian up and down then laughed.
“What?” Brian looked concerned.
“Nothing man….good night last night??” Nick grinned.
“Amazing..” Brian smiled.
“I won’t ask..” Nick laughed.
“You coming in?” Brian motioned.
“Yeah….where are those girls?” Nick asked but then laughed as he heard Cassidy’s voice coming from the lounge.

“Ohhh God…TAKE ME BRETT LEE!!!!” Cassidy exclaimed loudly.

(C.N: Brett Lee is like the HOTTEST player in the Australian Cricket team…and everyone has all these little phrases and nicknames for the players..so just go along with it ok? We’re showing you a little Australian culture here…so sit back and relax.)

Both guys looked at each other.
“Is there someone in there with them??” Nick asked bewildered.
Brian nodded gravely.
“The entire Australian cricket team…” He laughed.
“What the fu…” Nick replied and walked in the living room.

“Shane Lee’a getting fat…” Becca remarked as her and Cassidy watched the screen intently.
“He was always fat….I agree though…he must be stealing Brett’s food again...” Cassidy nodded.

(Note: ‘Shane’ is Brett Lee’s brother…also on the Australian team…they look really alike..except that Shane is about 3 times the size and looks like he swallowed a sheep…Becca is killing herself laughing..…but he’s a really good player! )

“GLEENNNYY’S BOWLING!!!” Cassidy squealed and jumped up.

(Note: ‘GLEENNNYY’ is Glen McGrath…he’s a bowler and he’s really good!…They’re all good but yeah..)

“Do it Cass!!” Becca laughed as Cassidy started her chant. (with choreography)

“OOO AHH GLEN MCGRATH!!!!!…OOO AHHH….HI NICK OH GOD!” Cassidy’s mouth dropped open as Nick entered the room.
“Oh shit….” Becca laughed.
Cassidy sat down on the couch and tried to compose herself. “Ohh god….why…why??” Cassidy shook her head not daring to look at Nick who was grinning in the doorway.
“What’s up Cass? Why did you stop??” Becca tried not to laugh.
“Shutup Becca…” Cassidy said through gritted teeth.
“Ooo Ahh…” Becca whispered.
“BECCA!” Cassidy kicked her.
“Oww…Nick are you just gonna stand there all day?” Becca said referring to Nick who was still standing in the doorway laughing.
“I don’t think I feel safe…..I don’t wanna be in here just incase this…who is it… ‘Brett Lee’ shows up??” Nick said grinning.
“Oh god….you heard the Brett Lee chant??” Cassidy paled.
“Oh yes, yes I did…” Nick nodded. “Nice rhyming skills…” He added.
Cassidy turned bright red and buried her face in her hands. “Oh god…”
“Who’s Brett Lee??” Kevin walked in the loungeroom to see what all the yelling and laughing was about.
“Oh god no…” Cassidy buried her face in the couch arm.
“SHOW HIM THE CHANT CASS!!! SHOW KEVIN!!!” Becca yelled. Cassidy lifted her face off the couch and gave Becca a look so full of hatred that if looks could kill Becca would be six foot under.
“OHH!!! Yeah!! Glen just got someone out!!” Becca looked at the TV screen.
Cassidy’s face perked up and she leapt to her feet.
“OHHH….umm…well done…that was great…” Cassidy quickly sat back down.
“Well why don’t we stop torturing our poor friend Cassidy….and try and understand this strange, strange game..” Kevin laughed and sat down on the floor next to Becca.
“How embarrassing…” Cassidy was hitting herself in the head with a pillow.
“Careful, don’t hurt yourself…” Nick grinned childishly.
“Go away!!” Cassidy’s muffled voice was heard as she once again buried her face in the pillow. Nick laughed, took the pillow off her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. “Ok don’t go away...” Cassidy smiled and snuggled contentedly against him.

After a few minutes of watching the game Brian looked over at Nick.
“I don’t get it!?” Nick said.
“Me either…” Brian laughed.
Becca and Cassidy just shook their heads.

Ding Dong

“I’ll get it…” Brian said getting up off the couch.
“Ok….so each team has an innings…and they have 50 overs…and an over is 6 balls delivered by one bowler..and then they change ends and have another bowler for his over…now a bowler can only bowl 10 overs….get it??” Cassidy asked Nick who just looked at her.
“Ok we’ll see what else is on…” She laughed and grabbed the remote.

“Hey Bone, hey Emma! Come in…we’re watching cricket!” Brian laughed.
“Ooo Cassidy would have been excited…” Emma replied.
“Very….” Brian nodded and led them into the loungeroom.
“Guy’s I’m hungry…what’s for dinner?” Becca asked as Brian AJ and Emma entered the loungeroom.
“Umm…I dunno…what do you guys want?” Brian replied.
“Let’s make something!!” Becca clapped excitedly.
“You’ve got that cooking bug again haven’t you Becca??..Look out…she’ll be baking muffins in a minute..” Cassidy rolled her eyes.
“Bite me Cass….come on! All of us! Lets cook!” Becca pleaded.
“I can make a kick ass pasta?” Emma offered.
“Let’s go!!” Becca grabbed Emma and AJ’s hands and led them to the kitchen.

“Urgh I don’t wanna cook…” Cassidy rolled her eyes.
“Well lets stay in here…” Nick replied mischievously.
“Hmmm…why don’t we go help in the kitchen Kev….” Brian said pulling Kevin to his feet to give Cassidy and Nick a little “together” time.

Cassidy closed her eyes momentarily and when she opened them Nick was staring thoughtfully at her.
She smiled, “Whacha thinking about?”
“Us…..” Nick said seriously then smiled slightly.
“Well I’ve got a couple of thoughts on that one….” Cassidy grinned up at Nick. She slowly moved over to him, kissing him slowly, yet passionately. Nick responded running his hand up her smooth thigh. He moaned slightly against her mouth as she finally broke the kiss.
Nick grinned, “What’s your other thought?”
“Oh did I say couple, I meant one…” She grinned.
They looked at each other for a little while when Cassidy sighed and looked away.
“What’s wrong..?” Nick asked concerned.
“Nick I know that you just got out of a relationship and everything…but…what’s going on here…between us…I gotta know..” She looked up at him.
“Uhh…well..” Nick couldn’t find the words.
“Nick? Is it just a game…is that what we are?” Cassidy was struggling to keep her voice level.
“No! Definitely not! Cassidy how could you think…” Nick started.
“Then what are we Nick?” Cassidy asked.
Nick took a deep breath. Cassidy sighed exasperated.
“You know Nick...just cause you’re this big star and...” Cassidy started but Nick put a finger to her lips.
“Cassidy…I have this crazy, life…I live in this crazy world full of lies and no privacy….but you, you make me feel like none of that matters, you make all the bad stuff in my life go away…your beautiful smile…I don’t think that I could go on if I didn’t have that smile with me..” Nick held her hands in his.
“Ohhhhh.....” Cassidy smiled and kissed Nick gently.
“So can I have your smile....your everything?” Nick looked deep into her eyes.
“If I can have yours...” Cassidy replied and they smiled, sealing it with a kiss.
