Welcome Home

*The Next Day*

Throughout the day, Denise and Leigh-Anne, reminisced on old times. Doing Lunch and shopping.
“God, they’re getting buddy, buddy…..she’s gonna stay….” Becca stressed as Cassidy, Kirstie, AJ, Kevin and Nick looked out of the Hotel room window…as Denise and Leigh-Anne made their way across the busy street.
“Urgh…..” Becca fell back down on her bed.
“Becca, stop stressing..” Cassidy laughed as she continued to look out of the window.
“Oh, They’re linking, arms…..I see laughter escaping lips, in the form of little white smoke….” Nick said, hands on the glass, so as to block the glare.
“SEE!!” Becca said, sitting up…just to fall back on the bed again.
“Nick, you’re not helping!” Cassidy nudged Nick in the side.
“Where is Brian anyway?” Kirstie turned to Becca.
“He’s having lunch with his mum….” Becca said.
Kevin came and sat down next to her on the bed, tucking some loose hair behind her ear.
He laughed softly at her creased forehead.
“Are you laughing at me….” Becca pouted.
“Brian loves you and he would never hurt you……especially not with Leigh-Anne, they’re over…” Kevin said kindly.
“Thanks Kev….” Becca hugged him tightly.
“Awwww, ain’t that sweet…..” AJ teased.
“Shutup AJ!” Becca threw a pillow at his head.

“So Rebecca…She’s Australian right?” Mrs Littrell began as she and Brian sat down to lunch.
“Uhh…yeah…” Brian smiled.
“Why on earth didn’t you tell me about you two! I felt like such a fool yesterday!” She said taking a sip of water.
“I don’t know….I honestly don’t. I guess, we were having such a great time, I forgot!” Brian shrugged sheepishly.
“For Five whole months?” Mrs. Littrell raised her eyebrows questionably.
“Uhh…yeah..” Brian laughed softly.
“You really love this one don’t you…” Mrs. Littrell sighed.
“More than anything mom…” He said sincerely.
“More than Leighanne…?” Mrs. Littrell asked bluntly.
“Mom….please don’t do this…” Brian closed his eyes painfully.
“It’s a simple question Brian…” She replied.
Brian thought a little while before he spoke. He looked at his mother, into her crystal blue eyes with his own…and replied slowly.
“Mom…I know that you love Leighanne like a daughter and that you would like to see nothing more than her and I back together, married with 4 children….” He said quietly.
“Brian…” She started.
“…but that’s not going to happen mom…Leighanne, she’s not right for me…she doesn’t fit…we don’t fit together like people in love are supposed to.” Brian explained.
“And this Rebecca does I suppose?” Mrs. Littrell sighed.
“More than lovers….we’re like two parts of a puzzle, like…soul mates or something..” Brian said, a twinkle in his eye.
Mrs. Littrell sat back in her chair a little. As much as she loved Leighanne, and wanted her baby son to be with her, she had never heard him talk of a woman like this….and decided she must be special.
“That’s good Brian…I’m happy for you…” She said sincerely, reaching over and squeezing Brian’s hand lovingly.

“God I miss touring with you guys so much…” Leighanne sighed.
“Yeah, it’s been great seeing you again Leighanne…….you should take more holidays and come see me...” Denise smiled, she treated Leighanne like a sister, they had always been great friends.
“I would really love that!” Leighanne smiled.
“Well what are you doing right now?” Denise started thinking.
“Well, I was going to go back to Lexington with Bri’s mom…but other than that, nothing. I’m having a bit of a break from acting at the moment…” Leighanne smiled warmly.
“That’s it, you’re coming on tour with us…I could use the company…” Denise smiled.
“Really!? Would anyone mind, I mean…I wouldn’t want to be any trouble…” Leighanne said seriously.
“Nonsense….there’s a spare bed in Kirstie’s room anyway…I’m sure the boy’s will love you staying….”
“Uhh, yeah…” Leighanne forced a smile.
”Last time I spoke to Brian, was to break his heart…I’m sure he’d love me coming on tour..” Leighanne cringed.
“Well now that that’s all settled, I think we should hit the shops before the show tonight!” Denise chuckled.
“That’d be great!” Leighanne smiled as they paid for lunch and headed out of the restaurant.
