You make me wanna

.....You make me wanna leave the one I'm with, start a new relationship with you
This is what you do
Think about her and all the things that come along with
You make me, You make me

Before anything began between us
You were like my best friend
The one I used to run and talk to
When me and my girl were having problems
You used to say it would be okay
Suggest little nice things I should do
And when I go home at night and lay my head down
All I seem to think about about was you...

You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Start a new relationship with you
This is what you do
Think about her and all the things that come along with
You make me
You make me wanna leave the one I'm with
Start a new relationship with....

*SLAM*

Usher's smooth voice was cut short by Howie slamming his hand down on the radio as he paced around his hotel room.
"What am I doing??" He rubbed his temples painfully.
"Ok....Holly's definitely pissed.....we know that....but Nadine.." Howie thought of Nadine's pained face when she was telling Howie that she loved him. His heart ached of guilt.
"I can't be unfaithful to Holly....she is the one I'm committed to after all..." Howie told himself sternly.

"Howie can you stop being such a tool for one minute...." AJ rolled his eyes as he shut the hotel door behind him.

"What?" Howie turned around startled.

"This situation you've got here....it's not about obligation, its not about who your committed to...." AJ walked over to him and poked him in the chest firmly.

"Its about you following what you're feelings tell you.....who's it going to be...let your heart be your guide..." He said, his eyes looking straight into Howie's. He turned and headed nonchalantly into the bathroom.

"....it's not about obligation, its not about who your committed to...." AJ's words replayed in Howie's mind.

"....let your heart be your guide..."

Howie took a deep breath, and with new determination, headed out the door.

Nadine rolled over restlessly, wide awake. Sleep refused to overcome her, and her mind was a flurry of thoughts. Nadine threw the covers back and quietly got out of bed. She looked at the empty hotel room, dark with eerie shadows dancing across the walls.

She crept into the bathroom and turned on the light, her eyes taking a moment to adjust. she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Her hair, once immaculately curled and pinned to her head was a mess. Her mascara was smudged around her eyes from her tears.
Nadine sighed, turning on the tap. he cupped her hands and splashed her face gently rubbing at the makeup and mascara.

After drying her face with a soft towel, she felt, and looked much better. She slowly reached up to her hair and began to loosen the pins. She watched as her thick curls cascaded to her shoulders, almost in slow motion.

Nadine wriggled out of her skirt and top. She quickly slipped her grey satin robe over her bare form and walked out of the bathroom when she heard a knock at the door.
Puzzled, Nadine walked over and opened the door a little. Her heart caught in her throat.

"Nadine, I need to talk to you..." Holly sighed.
"Uhh...ok..." Nadine said unsurely, her heart pounding.
"I just wanted to say that I've been thinking this whole thing over....god, a hundred times or more...and I just wanted you to know, I'm not mad at you..." Holly said sincerely.
Nadine was surprised to say the least.
"Are you sure??" She asked.
Holly nodded.
"I can't be angry at your for...umm...expressing your feelings and I must admit, I was shocked and hurt at first, but I guess its just something that we've gotta work through...together.." Holly replied smiling a little.
"Oh my god Holly! Wow...you have no idea how relieved I am to hear you say that.." Nadine sighed happily.
"Hey its ok, we're all adults here right? You and Howie didn't actually do anything behind my back..." Holly paused for a moment, almost as if for approval.
"No...of course not..." Nadine assured.
"Yeah...so I realised I overreacted and tomorrow I'm sure we can figure this all out and come out of it all as friends.." Holly smiled and gave Nadine's hand a little squeeze.
Nadine was so touched by Holly's sincere gesture, that she thought she was going to cry. Holly had been so understanding, and now she could see the sweet person that Howie had obviously fallen for.
"Thank you so much Holly..." Nadine gushed.
"Seeya later Nadine.." Holly smiled.
"Night..." Nadine waved, shutting the door slowly as she watched Holly walk down the hall.

"Oh my god....now do I feel bad or what...." Nadine sighed as she leaned against the door.
"She's being so good about this....how could I even want to come between them...."
"...because I love....."

Nadine was interrupted by another knock at the door.

Curious, she opened the door, and her lips were met by another’s in a steamy kiss.
Nadine pulled away shocked.
"Howie?!" She asked breathless.
"Nadine, I want to...." Howie took a hold of her hand and went to kiss her again, Nadine stepping out of his reach.
"Howie, Holly was just here...." Nadine lowered her voice.
"What??" Howie's eyes widened.
"Holly...she just came and apologised to me..." Nadine looked around the hallway nervously. "Really....woah..." Howie couldn't believe that Holly would have forgiven Nadine like that.
“Yeah….she’s been incredible….now I know why you love her so much..” Nadine gave a little shrug.
“Nadine, if you want me…..” Howie reached for her.
“Howie, I know you’re only doing this for me…” Nadine looked at Howie sadly.
“Nadine, its not you….I mean, you’re an amazing girl...its just that..….” Howie felt Nadine’s heart breaking as if it was his own.
“I’m not her….” Nadine nodded understandingly, fresh tears threatening her eyes.
“I’m so sorry….” Howie whispered.
“Go to her….” Nadine looked down as a single tear fell down her cheek.
“I’m so sorry….” Howie could barely find his voice.
“Go…” She quickly wiped her cheek and hurried inside.
“Nadine, oh god I’m sorry…” Howie felt tears stinging his own eyes.
“Goodbye Howie…” She gave a sad wave as she slowly shut the door on him.
