That Morning Sunshine

She reached for the phone and punched in some numbers.

"Hey Susie…Look I’m sorry to wake you…" Beth apologized.

"Yeah, yeah I know the time….Look Susie, You've gotta help me out here…I need a favour…"
"I need you to get me into the Backstreet Boys press conference today….I know you can…"
"No I'm serious…Its really important! Its not just for me…"
"I'm serious!…..No, I…I can't tell you why…SUSIE! Please! How many times have I plugged all your things in my column….come on Susie….don't make me beg…." Beth was getting desperate.
"Oh my god Thankyou thankyou thankyou!! I love you! Ok I'll drop by and pick up the pass now!
Thankyou Susie I love you! See you soon!" Beth squealed excitedly and hung up the phone.

She walked quickly into the shower. Today was going to be a long day.

*A couple of hours later*

"That's great Kirstie! Really! You're just missing one vital piece of the puzzle…..a little thing called PROOF?!?" AJ sighed as him and Kirstie ate their breakfast in their room.
"Urgh I know! I just know she did it though Alex….it all there….motive, time…everything!" Kirstie said frustrated, taking a bite of her toast.
"You'll get your proof…it'll all….hey, what did you just call me then?" AJ asked curiously.
"Umm….Alex….why?" Kirstie replied confused.
"Say it again…" AJ asked softly.
"Alex…." Kirstie said, a smile breaking out on her face.
"I like it when you say it….sexy..…" AJ raised his eyebrows and nodded approvingly.
"You're such a dork….Alex…." Kirstie giggled.
"Going home in 3 days! And then a week till Christmas! Can you believe it!" AJ said excitedly.
"Yeah…." Kirstie agreed half heartedly.
"What's wrong?" AJ asked confused.
"Becca, Cassidy and me have already decided we're going to stay in the states for Christmas….but you always miss your family at Christmas…" Kirstie said a little sadly.
"Well….I was going to ask you this after we got back to the states…and got our piercing done…" AJ laughed a little.
"…but do you want to want to come stay with me in the month we got off after Christmas?" AJ asked almost timidly.
"I'd love to…" Kirstie's face broke out in a huge smile.
"Phew….that's the response I was hoping for…it was either that or you were going to slap me….." AJ laughed.
"..On one condition…" Kirstie interrupted.
"Huh?" AJ asked confused.
"These go…." Kirstie said firmly, taking the packet of cigarettes that were on the table and throwing them into the bin beside her.
"Kirstie…" AJ whined.
"Alex…" She mocked him.
"Urgh…fine…" AJ gave in.

"Good morning Rebecca how are you?" The doctor smiled his warm greeting as he entered her room.
"Suprisingly good…." Becca replied with a chuckle.
"Well your recovery has been near flawless I must say….your statistics are quite good….I think that you are nearly ready for release Rebecca…" The doctor said confidently, flicking through a clipboard.
"Really? Oh thank god…" Becca said happily.
"Oh, I hope you haven't disliked your stay too much!" The doctor laughed.
"Oh no, everyone's been lovely….I just need to get out of here…" Becca replied.
"I understand….well we'll have a little meeting later on today where I'll give you the full story and you can be released tomorrow alright?" He looked at her.
"That's so great….thankyou…" She gushed.
"Alright, now you rest….talk to you later…" The doctor gave her a little wave before exiting.
"Bye!" Becca said and smiled relieved. She was finally going home….but what to, she wasn't sure.

Kevin rolled over, the fresh cotton sheets feeling good against his naked form. He reached out and stretched, his eyes still closer. He smiled slightly as he felt another pair of lips on his.
"Good morning handsome…" Krissy's voice entered his thought. Kevin opened his eyes slowly.
"Morning Gorgeous…." He replied contented.
"We've gotta get moving…..you've got that press conference this morning…" Krissy reminded him.
"Oh yeah….damn….I'll be so glad when we're back in the states…" Kevin sighed.
"Come on…..lets eat.…." She smiled and took both of his hands, helping him out of bed. They both walked naked hand in hand into the kitchen.

Brian played random chords as he sat on the balcony of his room with his guitar.
He was trying to write a song….but nothing was coming.
He played around a little bit more, still no real inspiration.
"Stuff it…" He sighed and went inside to get ready.
He looked up surprised as the phone rang.

"Hello?" Brian answered.

"Hello sweetheart…."
"Mom! Hi…"
"How are you…"
"I'm hanging in there…"
"You sound tired, anything wrong dear?"
"Umm….it’s a long story, don't worry…."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah its ok….I've got to go soon anyway…"
"Oh ok…well I just wanted to check that you and Rebecca were still coming to Lexington for your Christmas holiday…."
"Uhh…mom…."
"Sweetheart you promised!"
"No its not that….Becca, Becca and I….we're not exactly 'together' at the moment…"
"What! Oh no dear…..what happened! You two were so happy…."
"Things change ma….I'll be there for Christmas alright?"
"Alright Brian…..call me if you ever need to talk alright?"
"Thanks ma….I love you…"
"I love you too Brian….bye…"
"Bye…"
"Oh Brian….is Leighanne coming home too for Christmas…"

Brian paused for a minute. "I hope not…" He mumbled and slammed the phone down.

Nick put his hands on the marble shower wall and leaned into them, letting the hot spray run over him. He closed his eyes and sighed as he tilted his head up so that the water sprayed his hair and face.
He stayed still as he felt two other hands on him, gently lathering and massaging his back. The sweet aroma of strawberry shower gel drifted in the air.
"How are you feeling this morning?" Cassidy whispered in his ear as she pressed herself up against him and worked her soapy hands around to his stomach.
Nick smiled and shook his head amused. He turned to her and pulled her under the spray with him as they kissed.
Cassidy gradually deepened the kiss and pushed Nick up against the marble. Nick moaned slightly and began to kiss her neck as he ran his hand easily over her soapy body.
Cassidy nibbled gently and closed her eyes as she ran a hand down Nick's chest, stomach and pelvis….she went to enclose her fist gently around Nicks…..

"Oh my god….." Cassidy sighed and pulled away. She closed her eyes tight and leaned against the wall across from Nick, banging her head slightly against the marble.
"I have no idea what is wrong!" Nick said incredulously. He took another look at his limp package and banged the wall frustrated.
Cassidy had no idea what to say. She silently opened the shower door and stepped out, wrapping a fluffy white towel around her body to leave Nick by himself for a minute.

Beth carefully folded the letter she had just written and placed it in an envelope. She had decided that if all else fails and she can't speak with the boys…..she could give them the letter. "God I hope this works…" Beth raised her eyes to the ceiling. She grabbed her coat and gloves and headed out to drive to the hotel where the press conference would be in an hour.
