DOES it really fucking matter anymore. KURT is gone. BUT Nirvana made some of the baddest music I have ever heard. And I am just now getting into it. I've been on the Zepplin box set basically since 92. So I kinda missed the commotion. Anyways if there is some sort of solace we can take it from a guy whom I always thought would've enjoyed KURT. Mr. John Lennon who once said "Time wouds all heels". Maybe INSTANT KARMA. Maybe like obi one said to darth vader if you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you could possibly have imagined. Which I think is true. KURT gave music a huge adrenaline shot right in the ass. Look at billboard now pathetic. So shit on the theories. Hole still sucks. She is a flake. She has always been a flake. If she insist on torchering us with her bad voice, shitty lyrics, AND bad acting, let her write about it so I don't have to hear or see it. SHIT I should write a book. Look just grab your NIRVANA cd's, a good sound systen and 12 of ice house. Wait till your 4th beer and crank SCHOOL. Motherfuck that just gave me chills. Ooh Gavin can blow it out of his...which he sounds like anyways.

I fully approve of your website, and what it offers to clueless people who would like to know more. I had heard about the suicide theory but your website went into great detail with both explanations on how it is highly unlikely if not impossible for him to roll down/button his shirt, put away the heroin, then pick up the gun (let alone being able to stand up at the time, even if he was conscious) and be able to locate his mouth then pull the trigger, then while he was dead, to reload the gun. I also found the Courtney Love theory to be interesting considering her daughter Frances Bean goes to my summer camp. She always seemed really nice towards not only Frances, but also people who came up to her in the camp. So I personally wouldn't point my finger at her, but homicidal maniacs always look the same as everyone else on the outside, take David Bekawits (Son of Sam). He looked perfectly normal and acted perfectly normal, he complained about noise, had a semi-clean apartment, and even donated money, and yet he killed so many people that it would drive a normal man to the brink of madness. People don't understand that any one of those theories could explain Kurt Cobain's death, and yet the one that a police department concluded was the cause of death was the most unlikely. And why didn't they go into a deepr investigation?

Hey man, your site is great, I love it. I don't know who killed Kurt. I KNOW he didn't kill himself. He is my hero. But the suicide letter doesn't matter at all to me. I think In Utero was like his suicide CD. I mean I'm listening to it now. It's so great, but the lyrics just blow me out of the water. I'm sure he was killed, but he wasn't going to do it. Then I think the song "Frances Farmer, etc" is talking about Courtney. Maybe he heard in on Courtney planning to kill him with some other people way before he made In Utero. He thought it out & came to the conclusion & said "I don't want to live anymore but I want my fans to remember me forever.. Courtney knowing her will mess the whole thing up". He knew there would be controversy around his death as the farewell to his fans & to always leave them wondering. Then he made In Utero as a goodbye to his fans. I don't know, just a theory, or maybe he told Courtney to kill him & to make it look like a suspicious suicide & on his last day he got high & the point is we'll never truely know without some controversy around it.

I think Nirvana is the best band ever! The truest band ever! I think it would be wonderful if we could find out who killed Kurt Cobain. Although if we did, wouldn't it take away just a little "awww" in Nirvana? Instead of wondering how did Kurt Cobain kill himself, we would know the answer & that would take away a little of the amazement in Nirvana. I'm a hug fan & I think Nirvana will be considered great. I'm just sick of all these 18 year old "look at my boobs, buy my CD" or look at my ass "buy my CD". We are in a time of terrible music. People we need to stop it because we control the record companies. Stop buying the crap, they stop making the crap. I think Kurt Cobain was a great man. I sort of wish he would of committed suicide because that would prove how smart he is by "Burning Out". He created a forever lasting shirne of how great Nirvana was. Instead of "Fading Away" & becoming a has been. If someone killed him, I"m sure wouldn't of minded that much. All he had to live 4 was his baby. Well that's my theory, if it's a theory. The point is NIRVANA ROCKS FOREVER!!!!

I don't believe Kurt killed himself. I think it was Courtney. She is a talentless, worthless excuse for a musician, although I kinda like Live Through This because Kurt wrote those songs pretty well. Kurt did have a difficult life, but things were uphill for him. And what is this about Dave Grohl killimg him?!!! Dave Grohl would never do that...wasn't he recording drums for a movie soundtrack while Kurt was killed? and another thing...someone said Kurt was the greatest musician. No.. Kurt wasn't a great musician. He could barely play "Love Buzz". He was the greatest songwriter ever, but not he greatest musician. Anywho...Courtney did it. Snoop Doggy Dog once said "Bitches ain't sh*t but ho's and tricks". Think about that.

First I want to say that Kurt was a great man and I am sure that his daughter will miss the great father figure that she could of had. Well, OK now that I got that out of the way, I want to say that I am practically certain Courtney had something to do with it. Of course if it was all her then she certainly hired someone to do it. I also have this feeling that the GOVERNMENt had something to do with it. Didn't they also have more than one reason to kill Kurt? Well I think so. Anyway this is only my opinion and no matter if they find who killed Kurt, it won't bring him back which is a depressing thought. But Kurt lives on in our hearts of course. I want to tell all those people who says it's fans that they need to really think a little more because that is one sorry theory (no offense to the guys who made the page if that's your opinion, but to my opinion it is). She hired some red-neck loser to kill him. I mean, look how the suicide note was written, It's just not like him to write stuff like that. And I found out that Kurt took 5 doses of heroin before killing himself. If anyone took 5 doses of heroin, they'd be dead! Especially someone who is really skinny and small. I think Courtney killed him for the money he owned. My evidence, she is insecure and she got her face redone and her boobs inflated. Trust me, I've met her when she was still with Kurt. She had acne and she thought my guitar teacher was her dad, and she was insulting one of her bandmates. She is crazy! And another reason Kurt would not commit suicide is because he had a baby daughter who he'd never hurt in his life! And it wasn't Grohl or Novoselic who killed him. Courntey hired someone to do it. It's so true!

I have read a lot of theories, but one caught my eye. I think its the best. I think Geffen Records killed Kurt, made it look like a suicide, but one that's suspicious. So it would make everyone grab everything they can of Nirvana. Well his was way better his s/n. KILLGREENDAY, I think that's the best.

I believe that Courtney Love hired someone to kill Kurt. I don't believe anyone else would do something to Kurt like that. I don't think she pulled the trigger, but she is as guilty as if she did it herself. Kurt would never commit suicide because he was a compassionate and emotional man. I just hope that one day the case is reopened and she is charged and convited of the murder of Kurt Donald Cobain.

It's so obvious that Kurt was murdered, it's a slap in the face!!!! If he had so much heroin in him, how could he have done what was done? And then there's the evidence that the hand writing on the note wasn't his. It all adds up. But what really pisses me off is how that we the fans are the only ones that care what really happened. COME ON!!! It I was murdered, I would want the truth out, and not be forgotten as just a suicide. People automatically think, drug user + loud music + different from other people = suicide. NO NO NO. I think the whole case should be reopened and the truth should be sought out. The stupid cops should get off of their lazy butts and do something about this. Here's my theory. Kurt escaped, out of his mind on heroin that day, he found Cali the nanny. Dictated what he wanted the note to say to the Nanny, who was nervous causing the shaky writing., then he had the nanny put the gun in his mouth and pull the trigger.

I think that you have a very interesting website. I've never heard about the David Grohl theory. Anyway, I don't think C. Love did it, even if they were getting a divorce. How could she know that she would never get caught, or something go wrong. Also, how could she know she would be able to ride her husband's fame. She had no way of knowing if his popularity would catapult or wan immediately after his death, or years later. I am a huge Nirvana fan, but I'm also a huge Hole fan as well. It is sad that we will probably never have a piece of mind or a 100% guarantee that it was indeed a suicide. But, again I don't beleive C. Love did it. You have to admit she was too determined to be famous and in the limelight to even chance it by killing him and possibly get caught. Everyone may think she's a bad person, but she's not that stupid.

I've been doing a lot of reading on the subject (Kurt's death). And first and foremost I discovered that no one will ever discover who the murderer is or if he committed suicide. But, I can tell you right now that it was not Courtney Love. They were in love. I remember Kurt saying (and I quote)..."If it wasn't for Courtney I would probably be bisexual". Plus they had a child together. Courtney was exceedingly depressed after Kurt died. And Kurt was always depressed. Just listen to his lyrics. It's sad. Sad, but true, he killed himself.

I think that Kurt was killed by Axl Rose. My reasons for thinking this way is because Kurt spat on his piano so therefore Axl drugged him up and then killed him and made it look like a suicide....but that is my personal opinion!!!! :)~

I am an underground writer, and have done a fair load of research into this. I have seen the death certificates and the autopsy reports, and I have concurred with the Seattle Police Department's findings. You kids don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about. First of all, there WAS blood found at the scene. A pretty decent amount. Reading the initial police reports will tell you that much. Second of all, the rifle was a LIGHT-LOAD shotgun. It was the type used to shoot birds and small animals. It wouldn't have left an entry wound, the buckshot wouldn't have had the power to go out the other side. Third, the handwriting? It matches up to Kurt's, the only one who said it doesn't is Tom Grant (who, by the way, is trying to keep from making himself look foolish when it turns out he was wrong). If you were high on heroin, you'd probably write sloppy too. I'd like to see this "evidence" that proves he was murdered. There IS none. All the evidence was whatever was in the room. There's no proof that they were getting divorced or that he was writing her out of his will (this is also an assumption that Tom Grant has falsely made. If there was going to be a divorce, Kurt would have said something to his attorneys. Don't you think they'd get suspicious if something happened to him?). This has nothing to do with Courtney Love, or even Dave Grohl, or Dylan Carlson, or Gavin Rossdale. You people make up the wildest accusations without hearding a shred of evidence. El Duce was a drug dealer and a gang member, not to mention a nefarious upstart. There were literally hundreds of people who wanted him dead. As for his lie decector test, it wasn't one that would be considered legally accurate, and wasn't administered by any professional. OJ Simpson passed a more stringent test. Courtney never bought a sports car, Kurt and Courtney TOGETHER bought a Lexus, but he felt uncomfortable driving it around and soon took it back. As for Cali, he was a drug user as well, but there is no proof whatsoever he had anything to do with Kurt's murder. He had a solid alibi for the entire week before. This is the official report, according to the Seattle Police, and I agree with it. Kurt was depressed, having just experienced a drug intervention (if you don't know what it is, it's when all your friends and family get together and pretty much make you feel like a loser for using drugs), and he likely felt betrayed by everyone he loved (that may explain why the suicide letter was addressed more to fans than family). He jumped over a wall and escaped from a rehab center (he was running from his problems). He didn't have anywhere to go, everyone was looking for him and wanted to send him back to rehab. He made an advance on his credit cards right before Courtney had them cancelled. He made his way back to Seattle to find the only thing he wanted: heroin. He was sad, depressed, no one to turn to. He smuggled his stash up to an attic, along with a shotgun, probably to perhaps use as a threatening device against everyone who wanted to turn him in (that would explain why there was an entire box of bullets next to him. He was really at the end of his rope). He became withdrawn, who knows what he was thinking. He wrote a letter to the only people he felt still thought good of him: his fans. He shot himself up with dose of heroin, a smaller dose in one arm. He probably thought of his daughter, and scrawled out the final message on the letter. He took the pen and stabbed it through the letter, sat down, and shot a larger dose into his other arm, sat down and succumbed to his frustrations. He quickly grabbed the gun and pointed it in his mouth (the smudged prints, indicating a quick jerk), and fired. Man. I don't really know what to say to people. Having lived through the suicide of someone close to me, I can understand everyone feeling this way about someone who they thought was close to them. You want someone to blame, you want to think it wasn't their fault, and that someone else had something to do with it. But in the end, there's acceptance. You realize that, yeah, Kurt was suicidal. Yeah, Kurt did kill himself.

I think that it was not a suicide, I am keeping an open mind on who killed him though, much evidence is against Courtney, but I am still keeping an open mind. I've investigated a lot of things on this, read some police reports (which could have been doctored, or could not have) which said that the gun Kurt had with him when he died had no fingerprints on it. Also there were signs of a struggle, a sloppily put in needle containing heroin. If this was a suicide, Kurt went through a lot of trouble to make it look like a murder.
