SNUG
My Girl (Keith) (WEA)
Proving that one may still rock, even if one knows what couscous
is. Snug, you see, are the posh wing of snotcore, that frenetic
brace of younger people (see: Midget, Symposium, several other little fellers) who play Nirvana ('My Girl' is very nearly
'Sliver'), but faster and cuter. Their little faces beam with health. Their hair shines with protein-enriched shampoo. Their stomachs are full with lasagne and tossed salad served from fitted kitchens ... and being thus deprived of poverty or angst, this is blazing pop nonsense ("My girl's got a really big forehead/My girl's only got four toes") with not a care in the world. It is quite excellent. It would sound very good with the words 'prioridee choon' somewhere near it. It is not Radiohead.
