ROCK ME GENTLY

"Rock Me Gently" is not a track that too many people seem to

remember until you play it. It was a huge hit for Andy Kim

in the late seventies and high on my list of tracks I wanted to sing."

DON'T TAKE AWAY THE MUSIC

"In a way, a song that sums up how we feel about music is Tavares

mega-anthem, "Don't Take Away The Music". It has always been a big

favourite and looks like being a song that we will be playing "live" for

a long time to come."

THERE IT IS

"In a different way, probably one of my all-time top songs has to

be from 1982, Shalamar's "There It Is". It has such a great feeling,

we had to record it and I'm really pleased we did.

It's great being able to record something

that you have loved for so long."

I WANNA GET NEXT TO YOU

"Lee talks about classic R&B and I think the Rose Royce song

"I Wanna get Next To You" has to be one of the best."

A LITTLE BIT MORE

"Just A Little Bit More" was a huge hit for Dr Hook and

The Medicine Show in 1976.

It's one of those songs that gets in your head and

has such great lyrics. I heard it recently and

wanted the chance to record it one day."

YOU'RE THE BEST THING

"Paul Weller is undoubtedly a superb song-writer,

so The Style Council's "You Are The Best Thing" is a song

that we all totally love and have recorded in our own 'style'!!!"

NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP
"Possibly the surprise choice is Rick Astley's

"Never Gonna Give You Up" from 1987. It's a "classic" pop song and

a track that we felt would fit brilliantly into our collection of influences."

PRIVATE NUMBER
"Different again is "Private Number", originally recorded on the

famous Stax label by William Bell and Judy Clay and is one of the

finest R&B tracks ever ... what more can I say!"

"Boogie Nights was TOP of my list!!

this Heatwave song from the 1977 has always been my favourite

all-timer!!"

CAN'T GET BY WITHOUT YOU

"You may remember The Real Thing had a number of big hits

but "Can't Get By Without You" is probably the one everyone

remembers the most from 1976.

It's a great song (although we have recorded it in a slightly

more R&B style than the original).

It's one of their best tracks and it always gets everyone dancing
