In the sack with Lee!! I got this off Smash Hits, enjoy!

Note: Sorry I'm not typing out who asked the questions!

Q: I think you and Faye Steps should get together because you would make

a cute couple. Have you ever thought about it?

A: I haven't really ever thought about it.

I haven't asked her out. Would I? Ummm...what a question! Umm...I might be

engaged. (Hurriedly) Not engaged, wedding engaged, I mean like a toliet.

I'm very busy at the moment, and I'm sure she is too. But having said all that,

she is my favourite girl out of Steps.

Q: You have been very successful so far, are there any ambitions you hope

to achieve next year?

A: Ummm...well, we've got the greatest hits album coming out in October,

and we're writing songs for the new album. We have all been writing

separately and we've got a few songs so far. Also the tour is coming up,

and it's gonna have magic in it. No, really! We're working with a magician

from ITV, Steve Mulhern, so there will be a few illusions on stage. Not sure what

yet, we had one idea where we were gonna shrink to ten-year-olds and go back in time,

but that's blown out the window! We're really looking forward to the tour though, this

time last year we were going through the management hassie (911 parted

company with their old manager on pretty bad terms) and although it's great

to be on stage, we weren't really enjoying it, but this time we're mad for it!

Q: Do you think that meeting your fans is an important part of your job?

A: It's like with any job, for example, if you work in a shop you are

dealing with customers. It is important for us to meet our fans and do stuff

like signings, but it can get a bit tiring sometimes. If I'm tired and there are fans

shouting your name, it's hard...and mad! But sometimes when you're relaxed and

so are they, you can have a good conversation. That's nice.

Q: I am a Wet Wet Wet fan like yourself. How did you feel when you found out

that Marti had left the band?

A: It was probably all the pressure, in this business it can make people go mad.

But about them splitting up, I think it was always gonna happen. Do I worry

that would happen to 911? I'm sure Spike and Jimmy have their own stuff to do,

but it's just like what Boyzone are doing-they are doing stuff individually

but they're still a group. That may happen with us, but you'll have to wait and see.

Q: If 911 ever split up, would you go solo?

A: Didn't wait very long did they, hahaha! Yes, I think I would.

I'd look at relationships, houses, and family and see if everything was all right,

then write an album. As I said before, we all have goals we want to go for.

Q: At the beginning of 911, how did you manage to set up the Ginga Recording Co?

A: With a bank loan! Our manager got it, and that was it. It was very small with

eight people in the office. We managed to get sponsorship from the Daily Star

and Virgin Megastores to put out the first song.

It was the sponsorship as well as the bank loan and after that it got better

and better. Have I paid the bank loan back? I hope so, hahaha!

Q: If the world was to end tomorrow, what would you miss the most?

A: Me family. All the people I'm close to. I see them when I can.

Actually, I took me mum to Buckingham Palace recently. Then we got tickets

to see Saturday Night Fever-it was great and she loved it! If our next

single Wonderland gets to number one, I'll take my whole family out in London!

Q: Are you in love at the moment?

A: Hahaha...ummm...I'm in love with a few things. What do you mean?

(We mean a special laydee, possibly Lindsay B*Witched?)

I'm in love. I have someone close to me. When the time is right, I will tell everyone.

Q: Have you ever snogged anyone really famous?

A: Oh yeah! Who? Ummm...(SH-Emma Bunton? Gail Porter? Lindsay B*Witched?)

yeah, all of them. (Blushing) Me and Gail Porter went out together but it wasn't

a relationship. Another thing, I went out with Emma when Geri had a big

party in a castle. It was New Year, so I gave Geri, Victoria and Emma

a kiss. I need to kiss the Mels to get the full set!

Q: Do you still live with your mum in Newcastle or are you living in your

home town Carlisle?

A: My mum had a pub in Newcastle but now she's moved back to Carlisle.

I stay with her when I'm there, I have my own room, but I spend most

of my time in London.

Q: What advice would you give to Mero now they have your old manager?

A: That's a awkward one! Work hard, don't believe everything everyone tells you

and most of all, enjoy yourselves.

Q: How tall are you as you look really small on TV?

A: 5ft 4in and a half. People normally say I look smaller in real life than

on telly, so that's a strange one.

Q: Have you ever forgotten the words to any of your songs while you were

performing in front of fans?

A: Just before Christmas last year, we were singing A Little Bit More

acoustically on the Christ Moyles radio show and all the time he was sticking his

belly out the window at us and waving rude photos in front of us, trying

to put us off. It was very difficult to concentrate after that, but I just

about got away with it.

Q: How did you feel when the press made a load of fuss just 'cos you

released an all-covers album?

A: I dunno, Boyzone have chosen to do a lot of covers over their career,

but I can understand why people thought that an all-covers album was a bit

much. There won't be any covers on our forth album.

Q: What would you say was the most tacky thing that you have ever done

in your career?

A: I've done quite a few! We once did a photoshoot for Boyz magazine

dressed up in lion outfits, including the heads. Looking back on it,

it was funny but tacky and very strange!

We've always worn tacky all-white outfits on stage in the past, but never again!

Q: When you first started out, you moved to Glasgow. After a while you moved to

London and got your first number one. Do you regret starting off in Glasgow

and wish you had gone straight to London?

A: Nah, 'cos we know everyone was always gonna be there in London.

London's very big so we're glad we started out in Scotland. All the Scottish

fans and press got behind us and it was great to get known there first.

Q: Do you like it when a girl makes a move on you, or do you prefer to

make the moves yourself and why?

A: When I was younger I would usually get a mate to tell a girl I fancied her,

now I'm in the group I'm a lot more confident. But it's probably a bit

hard for a girl to approach 'cos of the band so it's never happened.

Q: If you were an item of ladies' clothing, what would you be, who

would you belong to and why?

A: That's a brilliant question! Blimey, these are good questions, aren't they?

(after much thought) I'd be Julia Roberts' bra!

I don't really need to explain why, do I?
