For Eb Ab Db Gb, and Drop D tunning

This page will provide you with step by step instructions on tunning your bass to the song you wish to play.



Tunning your Bass to Eb Ab Db Gb

1. Make sure you bass is first tunned in E A D G correctly.

2. Tune your E string to the 6th Fret(Eb) on the A string.

3. Tune your A string to the 6th Fret(Ab) on the D string.

4. Tune your D string to the 6th Fret(Db) on the G string.

5. Tune your G string to the 5th Fret(Gb) on the D string.

Drop D Tunning

1. Make sure you bass is first tunned in E A D G correctly.

2. Tune your E string to the 5th Fret(D) on the A string.

Tunning your Bass Back to E A D G from Eb Ab Db Gb

1. Tune your E string to the 8th Fret(E) on the A string.

2. Tune your A string to the 5th Fret(A) on the E string.

3. Tune your D string to the 5th Fret(D) on the A string.

4. Tune you G string to the 5th Fret(G) on the D string.

Tunning your Bass back to E A D G from Drop D tunning

1. Tune your E string to the 7th Fret(E) on the A string.

Alternate ways to tune your Bass

1. Tune your Bass to another bass or guitar that is tuned correctly.

2. Tune your Bass to a Pitch fork that has the proper pitch of one of your strings.

3. Get a fixed pitch from a bass tab learning tape.

4. Or go out and purchase a Bass chromatic tunner.
