Duncan's raw, warm, wholesome and haunting tunes set me at such ease. He even said in an article, his cds are for late nights and early mor ings. When I need to relax or when Im chillin with friends it sets a great mood. I feel at home with Mr. Shiek. I just recently was able to sample the wonderful track "Songbird." Was at the opening show of the tour at the Ram's Head Tavern in Annapolis, MD. Dispite Duncan's insistance that we were all "guinea pigs" at his first tour date, the band played with precision and intensity. I was a bit surprised with Duncan's cheerful, lmost giddy nature; he joked comfortably with the audience and sand with passion. The band cheerfully chatted with us after the show was over, and we left feeling like we had seen something special. PS The band played 'fake plastic trees' during their encore - does it get any better than that??
