Wednesday was slow and so, I thought about closing the shop early. Just before I locked the door, a car pulled up and a guy got out. Well, at least the day wouldn ‘t be a total loss. The guy came in and surprised me and went straight for the chair and told me he had left his corporate job and started his own busness and since he was his own boss and did not have to follow some stuffy corporate image standard he was sick and tired of his thick wavy black hair and to chop it off. I am here to serve.

This guy had thick wavy black hair that some stylist had “trimmed” into a longish busness cut. No taper, just blunt cut around the sides and back (3”) and brushed straight back on top (6”).

I took out my Oster and put the 1A attachment on. I tilted his head forward and clicked the clippers on. Starting in the back, I buzzed up the back of his head nape-to-crown and left-to-right. Buzzzz. 3” of thick wavy black hair fell to the cape and on to the floor. Again and again, buzzzz up the back of his head until only 1/8” fuzz remained.

Then I moved to his left side and starting just behind his ear, I ran the clippers up and around his ear. Beautiful black hair showered the cape. I ran the clippers straight up the side of his head over and over redusing that stylist mop to 1/8” fuzz. I took off the attachment and attacked his left sideburn which came down to just above his earlobe, but was very thick and wide. Starting at the earlobe, I shaved that thick wide sideburn off. Leaving a straight line back from his ear. I moved to his right side and just like on the left side shaved off his right sideburn.

I put the 1A attachement on the clippers again and started buzzing up the right side of his head. He was smiling as I chopped off that busness mop. Again and again buzzz up the side of his head leaving fuzz.

Moving to the top of his head, I started just above his right temple and shaved straight back towards his crown. 6” of thick, wavy black hair fell onto his lap. Buzz back. 6” on the cape. Fuzz left. Over and over across the top of his head until all that thick wavy hair had been redused to 1/8” fuzz.

I ran the clippers all over his head to make sure it was even. Then I clicked off the clippers and got out the shaving cream and lathered up around his ears and the back of his neck. Using the straight razor, I cleaned up the edges around the sides and back. I also shaved his very handsome face. He was very, very pleased and ran his hands all over his head and went home a happy camper.

Another business deal, clipper style.
