see our pictures!

Well sir, this show blew every other show we've ever been to away. We sure hope that we'll be able to say this again!! Anyway, here are our reviews:

Well as I sit to write this it's Dec. 16, nearly two weeks later... so I'm lazy...
The day started off early, as we headed to the venue at about 10am.. we were already on the guestlist but wanted to ensure a spot at the front of the stage, you see. Disappointment: as we got there, we found out that some dedicated souls had camped out since 1am and as such we were FAAARRR back in the line. All was not bad, though, we met some really cool people (one of which helped us meet Mike, more on that later), which we became fast concert friends with. So the hours past, and as Caitlin had us write in her concert logbook, we decided to go on periodic OLP patrols. Patrol #1: unsuccessful. No band, bus, or roadie in sight. On the way back, however, we found a secondary way upstairs and up to the club, which surprisingly nobody seemed to know about. LOL. Fast forward to Patrol #2: If my memory serves me right, I think this one was unsuccessful too.. so I won't bore you fine people.. Patrol #3: JACKPOT!! It was about 1 or 2 pm i think, and we went up to the club via the "secret staircase," lol. We see Mike and Duncan doing an interview for A-Channel, and watch excitedly... too excitedly.. a roadie freaked us out, lol, much to the other roadies' delight.. so we tried to get them to come out of the club but decided against it... plan b.. go to the bus. We went outside, found OLP's bus, and waited. And waited. As it was snowing, we wrote "MIKE HI MIKE" in the snow... shut up lol... the roadies were laughing at us for that too.. we musta been quite the sight... ok so blah blah blah we went inside after an unsuccessful meeting... and FINALLY decide to go outside one last time... WHOA!! Mike came down the stairs first, coughed at us (he was sick), and went in the bus.. we waited, waited, and waited.. and then Mike and Duncan came out again.. Duncan nodded, Mike smiled, and they both walked away! lol.. so that one guy aforementioned yelled, "I LOVE YOU MIKE!" to which he turned around and smiled, and walked towards us... Mission Accomplished, if I do say so myself. We talked for about 10-15 minutes, and Caitlin even ended up getting Mike to sign her logbook. hehee. Check out the pics. After going back inside, word spread fast that we had met members of the band, as people in line started asking us about it... lol again..
So if I may I'll skip to the show. IT KICKED ARSE! We ended up being Front Row Mike, a la the February show. A funny thing too, all the front row ended up being people who we went to high school with. It was interesting...the set started off with new songs, and SHIT it was incredible. Made to Heal was a personal favourite of mine. Mike was gracious enough to give Robyn his pick and me his water bottle, conversing with us between songs as well. Raine climbed onto and hung from the overhead pipes during Naveed, which was a sight, lol.. again I say, look at the pics. :)
Jeremy did a little five minute drum solo after Stealing Babies, which took a lot of people by surprise I think. WHAT ELSE?!? Man, I should really be writing this when I don't have a headache and am feeling more verbose, but there's always that nifty little thing called an 'edit' button I suppose....
