CHRIS EACRETT
Thanks to Jennifer and Chris Eacrett for the information

You might say Chris Eacrett was OLP's first, yet not original bassist. Duncan Coutts had been asked to join the band originally, but he opted to further pursue his education and thereby declined the offer. Chris Eacrett was found and he played on Our Lady Peace's debut album, Naveed. His influences included Living Color and Rage Against the Machine. Chris left Our Lady Peace in 1995 due to "musical and personal differences."
BACKGROUND/PERSONAL INFO: Chris was born on January 8, 1970. He has two sisters, and he is not married. In grade seven, Chris became a trombonist (against his wishes), learning to read and write music for it along the way.
Chris began playing bass in high school for the high school band; during the summers of his grade nine and 10 years, he took music lessons at the University of Waterloo.
Chris liked to waterski at Turkey Point on Lake Erie and at his family's cottage on lake Huron. Presently, he loves to snowboard and ski in British Columbia.
CURRENTLY: After his departure from Our Lady Peace, Chris continued to write songs. As well, he finished his business degree at Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto and he now works in E-Business.
We had previously stated that Chris was working with Edwin, the former lead singer from I Mother Earth. Chris has since informed us that though it had been suggested by Sony, there wasn't an opportunity to proceed.
