While I try very hard to like this album, I find that it just is not as good of an album as I expect from Code Of Ethics. True, this is a "new" sound for Barry Blaze and the guys from Code, it is really not much more than a typical "techno dance beat."

There are however a few gems among the dross of this disc. Chief among these are the title track "soulbait" and a remix, "soulbait - Superfly Remix". Both have a good dance beat partnered with passable lyrics.

The brightest of the songs on this release, though, is "Brightside". While the lyrics are almost too Pollyanna-"I'm a Christian, so I should be happy" the beat and chorus are very infectious.

Another good track is the released single "Shake Me". There is not much to it lyrically, again, but as before, it is a good danceable song.

The question then becomes, are these songs good enough to make up for the lack of the rest of the album? That is question only you can answer, though my advice is to give this a listen at least once through before you buy it. It is good enough, to give it a listen though, for me, this disc will be relegated to my "play at gatherings" collection.
