The RZA and GZA each had unsuccessful stabs at being solo artists, the GZA had an album called "Words From the Genius", and The RZA had a single called "Ooh, I Love You Rakeem." These early attempts paved the way for the mastermind behind Wu-Tang's production, the RZA, to blow up the rap world. In 1993, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" was released. It was unlike anything rap fans had heard before. The album was filled with snippets from old martial arts movies the members watched as they grew up in the New York projects. In fact, the kung-fu styles were the basis for Wu-Tang, possessing skills to take things to the next level, not unlike Kung-Fu. It was an incredible album, and this was what got me hooked into anything Wu-Tang. After "Enter the Wu-Tang", Method Man, arguably the most popular and likable member, released a solo alum entitled "Tical"."Tical" was much grittier and darker than the original album, but was incredible in its own right. RZA's trademark production haunted the listener's ears and Meth's hoarse rhyming style combined to make a worthy addition to the newly-expanding Wu-Tang library.
