Presenting the One and Only...
GRAN POLLO
Some of you out there may know me, and then again, some may not.
So I'll just tell you some of my hobbies, to let you get to know me. Here you can see me in the Providence Journal playing my trumpet.
This picture was taken at a local elementry school during thier Arts
Week. We are, from right to left, Rachel, Jessie, Alex, and Dan
(Me). We played Trio for Trumpets, quartet-style. What a blast! (no
pun intended, heh-heh!) Like I said before, I play the trumpet. I've been playing for about five
years, starting in the seventh grade.
Hobbies:
If you couldn't tell from the picture, I play the trumpet. Also, I enjoy
mountain biking, rock climbing, and anything else that's worth my
time. Got it? Good.
I'm In The News Paper!
I've always been in Concert Band, but my heart really lies in Jazz.
I guess that's just because it's more free style, so I get to express how I feel when ever I play. Any one else out there who plays Jazz can say the same, I'm sure.
I really find myself being influenced musically by Harry Conick Jr., Harry James, and Arturo Sandoval.
Don't get me wrong though. I do listen to other music. As of now, my favorite Bands are The Beatles, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Oingo Boingo, The Offspring, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, etc. (I could go on forever!). Just recently, I really started to get into Ska, but I'm haven't become totally engulfed in it yet.
(NO, THAT'S NOT ME.)
My other hobbies, Mountain Biking and Rock Climbing, I just became involved with about a year ago. I was first formally introduced to the sports by my good friend Nick. We've had some great little adventures together. Like the time when I nearly rode off the side of a Mountain because I went around a turn too fast. And then the next time after that in the same place, I went too fast around the corner again and slid on my knees 40 feet on the asphalt. Here's a picture from two-thirds up the Mountain.
