This page is dedicated to the songwriter/singer/guitarist/frontman
Bret Domrose. If you come across information that you
believe Bret's admirers will like to know and should be added to
this page, please Email

(There's very little that's available currently on Bret, but hopefully, what is available, you will be able to find here. I am constantly looking for new information, so check back often.)
Bret is the musical foundation to the band, Dogstar. His soulful voice complements his lyrics to project visions of angst-ridden characters in powerful unforgettable songs.
Bret's professional background is as diverse as he is talented. Born in Santa Clara and grew up in San Jose, California, Bret first picked up a guitar when he was 11 years old. He formed his first band at 15. He played with a number of bands and musicians, including B.M., Lutefisk's bassist, when they were both in the band called Listen Hear. This summer (1997) he is touring and promoting Dogstar's debut full-length album, Our Little Visionary.
Haven't gotten OLV yet? What are you waiting for? You can read my review on the album and hear soundbites, as well. Dogstar has also released Quattro Formaggi, a multimedia enhanced CD. You can read my review on the CD, as well.
Notable Mentions...
"I hope that people recognize the music. . . on it's own merit."
So how does Domrose see Dogstar working out in the future? "I guess I'm kind of the Obi-Wan of this band. They leave a lot up to me because I have the most musical background. I think they count on me for a lot of things to get done that they probably wouldn't do...."
