Hi Nancy!

Okay here's what happened.... We got to the club about 6:30 knowing thedoors were going to open at 7:00. There were some people in line but notmany. My friend Vivian noticed that about 20 people were hanging out by thetour bus which was parked behind the club. We decided to check it out andcould here music coming from the club. The people there said the guys hadalready been out signing autographs and of course we were sorelydisappointed. Viv went to get the camera (they did not allow cameras orrecording equipment inside the club at our show -- it was strictlyforbidden. We saw several people being taken out who had cameras, I don'tknow if they confiscated the film or not).

Anyway Viv found out the guys were getting interviewed on the 2nd floorbalcony of the club.... I was joking with (Billy & Mike when) Viv came anddragged me to see Keanu and the rest of the guys. They were up and above us...Heseemed very animated during the interview, waving his hands around andplaying the air guitar....

But then he came down and was signing autographs near the front of the bus.He was standing less than 2 feet away from me and all I could do was stare.He seemed kind of irritated and people kept pushing stuff in his face. Vivwas going crazy and was yelling at me to get his autograph but I was in adaze and I kept saying no b/c he seemed really upset like he was in a badmood. They seemed to be very careful about what they were signing, almostas if they didn't sign certain things that looked like they could be soldfor profit. Again, I was just thankful to be so close to him. He waswearing a grey t-shirt, long baggy khaki shorts and had a black ski cap on.He looked like he hadn't shaved and was on the thin side but he wasabsolutely GORGEOUS! The man has some of the most beautiful hands I've everseen and his neck *sigh*. At one point some lady kept pushing him to signsomething and he finally snapped at her "NO!" I stepped away from the frontof the line with no autograph but happy as a clam and still in my daze. Istopped to talk to Billy & Mike again who were still sitting in the bus. Imentioned that Keanu didn't seem like he was in a good mood and they saidthat he was sick and was exhausted from playing shows 2 nights in a row plusinterviewing all day...

So Viv comes running over and grabs me, saying he's near the back of the busagain and there weren't many people there. I got where he was and continuedto stare. He seemed really tired and worn out. He turned and looked rightat me and here's how the conversation went:

Me: Hi -- would you please sign this for me? ( I hand him the ticket and heturns to sign it on the wall) I'm sorry you're not feeling well.
Keanu: (looking over his shoulder, seeming surprised I was mentioning hishealth) Yeah, it kind of sucks.
Me: (while he's still signing) Yeah, and here we all are bugging you forautographs.
Keanu: (turning with a small smile) That's okay.
Me: Would you mind if she took our picture (no one else was asking -- theywere just snapping away.)
Keanu: Sure
(at this point I turned around and gave Viv a HUGE smile. Viv said he movedcloser and leaned his head down b/c I'm much shorter)
Me: (after the pic, taking my autographed ticket) Thank you. I really hopeyou feel better.
Keanu: (again seeming surprised at the conversation) Yeah, thanks.

I ran away b/c again I thought I was going to pass out and stupidly gave thepen he used to some girl. I was flipping out!! We actually had aconversation and thankfully I didn't stand there speechless like I wasafraid I was going to. I really felt like he appreciated that I was askinghow he was but it surprised him amongst all the pushing and shoving forsomething from him. Anyway -- I went excitedly to show Billy and Mike myautograph and the rest of the band gets on the bus. I did seeRob & Brett. Rob was wearing a similar outfit to Keanu's, shorts andt-shirt. I got a kick out of seeing Brian Schofield from DOOL :) Brettlooked very, very cute in long pants, a white shirt and black jacket (Ithink). They were also signing autographs and were careful about what iswas they were signing. So the band got ready to go back to the hotel andBilly told me and Viv to hang around...

We talked with Billy for close to 2 hours justchatting about the band and places they've been and other people Billy hasdriven for. Billy said he's been driving for bands for 22 years and Dogstarwould rank close to the top of his list. He said that Rob & Brett don'tsmoke but Keanu does. Rob doesn't like the smokey bus but lots of peoplesmoke anyway.... Then we met Dan (themerchandise man) who was very nice and friendly. He teased us about melooking young. Someone had put a sign that said "bomb on bus" and Dan wastalking about how that was really serious b/c he'd had to call the bombsquad before b/c of something like that.

So we got off and went into the club. Billy walked us to our car so wecould put our camera and stuff away. Silver Jet was just finishing up. Theplace was crowded but it wasn't packed. The band came on and they werepretty good. I have to admit, I wasn't too familiar with the music. All Ireally recognized were the snippets I heard from the net but I bought the CDso if I ever see them again, I'll recognize the songs. I couldn't reallysee Rob b/c of the drum set. I had a good view of Keanu and he kept lookingback at Rob. At one point he shook his head and his hat came off. Of coursethe crowd was crazy. He looked very cute like a little boy with his hairall sticking up like crazy. Brett pretty much stayed at his mike. At onepoint the roof started leaking and he said something about it raining insidetoo. Keanu seemed to get more into it at the end, even more so during theencore. They left pretty quickly and went backstage.

We went outside and by this point a lot more people were congregating at theback of the bus waiting for him to come out. There were some very obnoxiousgirls there, some dressed pretty skanky and some just loud. Billy saw usand came over. He took my poster and Viv's ticket and went inside to get itsigned for us. We got some nasty looks when he came back -- like who werewe to be getting special treatment, especially since we were dressed normal(casual dresses, nothing revealing). I just smiled....Anyway, when he came out and was rushing to the cab -- I ransmack into him coming around the corner. I must have looked mortified! Asthe security and Billy were trying to keep people off his back, he had toput his hands on my arms b/c I slammed right into him. I looked up and said"I'm sorry I'm sorry!" He said "That's okay" and then rushed to the cab.People were crowding all around but I looked into the open door and helooked at me again. I waved and said "thank you!" He sort of smiled backat me. Then I stepped back and Viv said "hey, she drank your beer!" Hekinda looked at her puzzled and then people started taking pics and he gotupset. They drove off and apparently people followed him back to the hotelwhich he did not like.

Billy walked us to the car again and I told him to have everyone wave atDisney world for Mary and Vivian. He said he was going to say something toMike about me and that Brett wanted to hear. Lord only knows what it was.We told him good luck and he said to drive safe. Then we started home and Ididn't come out of my daze until I was in my apartment. Basically, each part of the night was better than the last :)
