Gray Haired Child
A gray haired child was born
In March on a cloudy gray Morn
Born unto a mother of only seventeen
Not quite a women yet not quite a child
The father a favorite of Satan himself
As the mother gave birth, angels wept
The gray hair child cried, Satan laughed and stepped aside
The child was strange , but yet she grew
Her mother loved her, but this
was way too new
What was a mother of now eighteen to do
The father had left, never too look back
$10.00 dollars a week he faithfully mailed
The mother worked hard, walking to work
The mothers mother stepped up to the plate
And helped her child, raise her gray haired child
And days weeks years passed
And the child was treasured, and her stringy long hair turned blonde
She was accident prone , blood and fractures came her way
As did angels and imps
And Satan checked on the child of his favorite he stood back and smiled
For the child ,her destiny was planned already to be
More years passed , the child near grown had a taste for wine
And the boys went wild , as they met this half woman child
And the angels wept, and Satan crept as her mother slept
The woman child indulged herself, on moonlit nights, wine bottle in hand
She knew her destiny, was to never be
Reality her constant enemy
The angels singing their neverending song
Satan mocking singing along
The child found her answer written in wine
God said , child come to me , you're mine
And the woman child took her life
Blood and wine mixing, as was meant to be
That was the gray haired childs destiny
Angels wept, Satan clapped his hand in glee
