THE BAND

BRUCE: As he came on stage one could tell he's lost some weight (probably from continuous heat exposure from playing in non-ventilated, small clubs). His voice is in incredible top shape. He can still work a crowd like no one else. Tonight he really had to work out...he delighted us with his balance skills by literally jumping on top of the speakers to the left side of the stage (he was trying to wake up that section of the crowd...) Conclusion: You want the best ? You got the best !!!

ADRIAN: Simply a guitar God. His ripping solos just take you into another dimension. To my knowledge he was THE key factor in Maiden's downfall. Welcome home, it's been too long, we've missed ya !

GURU POWER (as it was displayed on his amplifier's digital screen): He learned all his solos so well in such a short period of time, that you have to give him a lot of credit for being such a hard worker. He was wearing a black bandana (?) and looked shy rather than weird. He designed this killer guitar which is basically a wicked face with a wide open mouth and long sharp teeth (like a character out of Ghosts n' Goblins)VERY COOL...

EDDIE: Contrary to Bruce, his figure is as full as ever...but that didn't stop him from playing an excellent gig. I wonder where he gets his Burritos in Europe though...But hey, you know what they say: The heavier the bass...(ist), the better !!! Looked funny when Bruce sang the line; "LA dude, LA attitude..." (Tattoed Millionaire).

DAVID: ENERGIZER ! He just keeps on going..and going..and going. He could do some serious damage playing double-bass. Hard to spot him behind the drum kit.

INTERESTING FACTS:

Venue: The BIEBOB, located in Vosselaar (close to TOURNHOUT, a famous Belgian concert/festival site). A medium-size "Hollywood-style" metal club (imagine a bigger version of the Rainbow in L.A.). Capacity: +/- 600 people (not sold-out but very close to it !)

NEGATIVE FACTS:

The crowd. WHAT WAS UP ? Way too many people standing still. As it was raining hard outside, I noticed a few leaks on the roof...

POSITIVE FACT:

Bruce didn't get pissed off at anyone !

BUMMER FACT:

Just before Powerslave, Bruce starts quoting:"Woe to you, oh earth and sea, for the devil sends the beast with wrath [...]" leading us all to believe they were playing "The Number of the Beast"...well they didn't. Bummer. You could totally see Bruce's face going: "Gotcha, didn't I ?"

Until next time...wishing you all a great concert wherever you are, Bruce is gonna get ya, no matter how far...
