This is one band I never tire of listening to! No matter how many times I hear 'Walk This Way', I want to get up and dance. No matter how many times I hear 'Dream On', I want to cry. No matter how many times I hear 'Last Child' with its' funky soul rhythm, I want to.... um...well, nevermind... LOL Truth is stranger than fiction, and these boys from Boston prove that theory. Through an incredible string of coincidences, they came together to form what is, arguably, the greatest American rock band ever. No one, except the Stones, has done it longer. To witness them live on stage is to see legends in action. They staged the greatest comeback in rock and roll history. After Joe Perry left to form his own band, 'The Joe Perry Project' , Steven and the boys kept the train a rollin. Brad Whitford was the next to leave the band. With Brad's departure, it looked like the end of Aerosmith. But, happily, the two veteran guitar players returned to join Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer (drums) and Tom hamilton (bass) to reform the group that was first in their hearts. Their second chance success story is well told by Steven Davis in the book 'Walk This Way~the autobiography of Aerosmith'. In 1998, they had their 1st number one record with the ballad "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", from the movie Armageddon. this was a great year for movie music btw~: ) The boys just had a theme park ride modeled after them in Disney World in Florida. Most recently, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were spotted at the MTV video awards taking the stage with Kid Rock and RUN-DMC, during the Kid's medly performance. Kid and Steven tossed mike's back and forth singing to 'Walk This Way'. Can't wait to see what's next!
