What eventually happened, Tyler explains, is simply that
certain members got on certain other members' nerves. And without beating around the bush, Tyler points his finger in a specific direction. "I swore I'd never play on a stage with Joe Perry again," Tyler says. "We were backstage in Cleveland and all hell broke loose in the trailer; it almost came to a fist fight. But I never did have a fist fight with Joe Perry. We never hit each other. We did, however, take some verbal swings at each other that hurt a lot more than a fist." - Circus, 4/30/86
