E-MAIL ME!

No Simpsons were hurt in the making of this x-ray...
Homer Simpson (to his brain):
"All right brain, you don't like me and I don't like you.
But let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer..."

Well, that month of freedom is over now. Being home alone was nice and relaxing but finding the time to do laundry and get groceries and cook and stuff made it tough to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! It was great to have friends over and I love feeding people (milkshakes, anyone?). Best thing was not having anyone NAG and NAG and NAG, which resumed promptly upon my father's arrival... *sigh*

Kineslogo.jpg SFUcrest.gif It's back to school already but it's kind of nice... I'm always fairly willing to go to school and to study when it's September. By the time it gets to October and November though, we'll have to see if my habits have improved... Our beautiful pond

A Chinese parody of Lou Bega's "Mambo #5" called
"Combo #5".
A pretty fake accent... but it's funny!
Take a listen.

Starbucks tastes so good... Caramel Fraps for happy-go-lucky days, Espresso fraps for the working-hard days. MAN, I LOVE SUMMER!
Best Actress of 1999!
FAVOURITE MOVIES... Shakespeare kicks butt. Case and point: Shakespeare in Love, 1999. [1999 Oscar for Best Picture has to mean something] The language is so beautiful... I just love that stuff. (See also: poems by John Donne.) Also recommended: 10 Things I Hate About You.
Die Hard 3, 1997. An excellent source of stunts and tension.
The Matrix, 1999. For shear technical merit. How can you NOT be impressed by the special effects? How can you NOT understand that Keanu Reeves just can't act?
X-MEN, 2000. Okay, it begs for a sequel but the characters were well presented. That Wolverine guy is SOOO CUTE in person too! Australian accent and all.
The Lion King, 1995. This movie consistently pulls at my heart strings. Likable soundtrack and the African drums are just too cool.
* note: I'm guessing at all release dates of the movies.

FAVOURITE BOOKS... The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. Awesome stories that aren't just for kids. There's a description of Aslan, the saviour of Narnia: "... a face so terrible yet so beautiful..." One day I'm gonna buy all these books and read them to my kids. Also recommended: Lewis' The Screwtape Letters (a look into Satan's perspective and the spiritual darkside).
The Beach by Alex Garland. Although I haven't seen it, I'm sure it's better than the movie.
The "whatever" by John Grisham. I admit it, I've read just about every single one of his books (except The Pelican Brief, got too boring, never finished it). Latest one I read: The Testament. Simple but engaging with a sympathetic flawed hero. I managed to guess the ending just before I got there - not exactly a grand finale.

FAVOURITE TV SHOWS... Ally McBeal is so funny!! And it's about a GIRL!! Yeah! GIRLS RULE! I like all the little special effects/exaggeration stuff they do, and the people are weird in a nice way. (Kinda like me,heehee)
** LING IS THE BEST!! She's friggin' HILARIOUS!!! You see that kiss? WHOA BABY! And here's a Word of the Day: dumbstick. (if you don’t know… um, don’t ask) =) Ling is definitely the coolest Chinese chick on TV. Definitely gonna watch her in Charlie's Angels (EVERYONE guy on the block is gonna RUN to see that movie).

FAVOURITE DRINKS... No, I'm not into drinking and I've never been drunk, nor plan to ever be. My favourite drink is COFFEE, of course! Caramel macchiato's from Starbucks send me on a magical carpet ride of bliss. Did you know they come in "Iced" form now?! It's gonna be a goooood summer. :)

Like I said, CHINESE CHICKS RULE!! WOOHOOO!!! (I know, I'm biased.) I see myself as totally Canadian, of course, but I'm Chinese and I know it and it's COOL, ya dig? Anyway, yay Mulan! It was a nice movie.

*Old stuff* Lyrics to that heck old song from Titanic... My Lungs Will Go On (haha). Yeah, I'm really bad at updating my page, I know.

You can check out my Personal ICQ site where you can send me a direct message!
*NOTE: My 1997 sandal tan lasted from April to about November or December. Let's see if I can set a new record! (Car-washes are just deadly for giving ya sandals-tans)

This must be one of the funniest movies I've ever seen!! Here are some highly quotable quotes. Only after you have watched this movie, will you truly be enriched by and have culture.
[click to hear the sound bites]

"I fart in your general direction..."

"We are the knights who say..."

"Run away!"
