Since I am old enough to remeber the early days of OC punk rock (I played with Jim in the band he was in right before the crowd) I think its great that you guys are on the web. There was alot of great music coming out of the SoCal punk scene back then and
most of it was by groups nobody remembers today so The Crowd should definately be congratulated for still making music 20 years(!) after they first started.

being a nerd from north cal, the only reason i even know The Crowd exist is because someone ditched a copy of Beach Blvd. at the local goodwill and i had a spare 50 cents on hand. and i'll never forget that day because they're a damn rad band. anyways tho
gh, it's good to know there's other fans out there!

WOW!! I can't believe that someone out there
know has given them the credit. When I see
their name written down, it reminds me of listening to Rodny on the ROQ back in the
early 80's when I was a skate rat at Marina
del Rey Skatepark. I actually won a contest
in poolriding with "THE RIGHT TIME" playing in
the background. It was the last contest before
the park was to close forever. So, I was thinking
"this has got to be it" This is my last chance to
get it straight. Man, those were the good ole days. Thanks for the memories.

This is a superior web-site and I look forward to all of the improvements that will surely come later on.
The World Apart l.p. (PBS 108) has NEVER been out of print since release. Yes, you can still buy it
at any store that buys records from Sound Of California or Get Hip. And it's still just a $9.98 list record! (Of course, the fans will know that it used to sell for a sale price of $3.99).
But once the sleeves for A World Apart are exhaused, that's it. It will go out of print for good.
Also still in print is the 1990 pseudo re-issue
of the never released Modern Machine single (PBS 29). It's a $3.98 released in a b/w picture sleeve.
As for a CD re-issue of the complete "A World Apart" l.p., Posh Boy is willing to talk with anyone interested in licensing those masters from us. Currently we are not planning any new releases nor re-issues.
Nitro Records have approached us about obtaining rights to the Beach Blvd. album; so far, nothing is firm.
Merry Xmas!

The Crowd are obviously one of the finest bands ever to come out of Orange County. "With your doctor martens and your big skinhead..." They deserve so much more than they've ever got for their music. Fortunately I have had the opportunity to see them pl
y a few times, which made me want to buy their albums. I recommend seeing the Crowd play, you'll be impressed.
